It's definitely an interesting argument... but if the elder son had the rinnegan (or something similar), why wouldn't tobi? he had to get those eyes from nagato first -- which doesn't really make sense if he was the elder son. At one point we've clearly seen a sharingan in tobi's left eye, indicating that at that time *both* his eyes were sharingan.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread, perhaps him teleporting himself into his own realm, "Yomi" I predict it will be called, is why he lost all his power, if you're inactive for so long you loose your prowess, or maybe something we don't know happened, maybe something crazy like Itachi tried to kill him, and get rid of his eyes happened... who knows?

I guess it's possible but there are so many possiblities at this moment. I have heard respectful theories about the Elder son, Shisui, Izuna, Kagami and even (yes U_U) Obito. Nice theory nonetheless.

Like the way how it looks it looks extremely close to the Rinnengan but it isn't the Rinnengan.

To make himself complete he is putting the 2 greatest doujutsu together into one person much like the Sage of Six Paths and make the juubi and become its Jinchuriki like the Sage of Six paths but instead he wants to control the world.(this is my theory)

Obviously he is old, but the question is how old is he in terms of Generation?

Tobi will smash his head on the wall when he discover that Naruto is not the reincarnation of the younger son but instead the reincanation of the big boss.

But why would he be a reincarnation of the SO6P when his son was suppose to be his successor but never got the chance? It would only make sense that Naruto was the reincarnation of the younger son because of the description of the younger son. Sasuke ALWAYS craved power just like the older son was described. Naruto was a more loving character. This is why he couldn't kill Sasuke in the first place even after everyone wanted him dead. That's the bond they have with each others. Naruto like Hashirama wants to make peace but Madara like Sasuke doesn't want peace. They want to destroy everything because of their painful past. Well then again, Madara want's peace through the moon eye plan. But his way of peace isn't true peace its just peace through force and controlling people. Before that, Madara did not want peace with the Senju because of his brothers death. He felt his death would be meaningless due to him giving up his eyes and dying just to defeat the Senju.

Anyway, I think its just symbolic for Naruto to be the younger child and Sasuke to be the older child. That is what everything is leading to.

This could be true maybe, the older son got badly injured in the fight against his younger brother so he went into his realm to survive and waited for his brother to die so he could be the strongest ninja , but his injuries where to serious and he couldn't uses his full powers so he went back into his realm and waited

if tobi was the sages elder son why would he exchange his "pure sharingan" for a watered down version of his doujutsu. since the elder son was the uchiha clans ancestor and had the first sharingan and gets his genes straight from rikudo sennin, the elder son could probably use every single sharingan tech with no drawbacks. tobi doesnt even know the names of the tailed beasts so how could he be the elder son.

what do you mean by trade out his "pure sharingan for a watered down version"? are you calling the rinnegan a shitty version of the sharingan? and i don't understand what knowing the names of the tailed beasts would have to do with anyone's identity. if he is the original uchiha he likely wouldn't care what their names were and would just view them as tools. at any rate, i think this as likely a theory as i've heard to explain tobi. i honestly just think he's some sort of clone, but this is plausible as well.
