[Theory] Tobi: Thread for all Tobi theories and related discussions .

Tobi a Mysterious Character
Ive been analyizing the manga including tobi and i realized he can only be certain people from the Narutoverse and my predictions are...
1.Elder Son of SO6P
2.Obito
3.Zetsu combined to the body of Obito
or...
4.Tobi could be some new character weve never heard of or seen!!!
4 is the choice im leaning on considering Obito's right side was crushed by a boulder and Kakashi now has his left eye and also Kakashi went to visit Obito's grave in which the remains of his body are in and in that case Zetsu couldnt obtain his body and if he did he wouldnt have Sharingan then i thought hmm okay theres an extreme possibility tobi is the Elder son of the SO6P however its been hundreds of years since they(Elder&Younger Son) were alive so he would have died from old age by now and even so jutsu werent so advanced back then as it is now so some immortality jutsu probably wasnt heard of... which brings me to my conclusion we have never seen or heard of tobi he may be some Uchiha not even relevant to us or he could be some guy who got the Sharigan of an Uchiha.

im beginning to lean towards obito aswell. another person made a very good point in another thread. He said that every since kakashi obtained the sharingan from obito he has access to time space doujutsu. Tobi constantly uses time space jutsu. a connection between tobi and obito i never truely realized.

I don't think so. Tobi's s/t jutsu is a swirl, not a spiral like the Elder son's eyes. He also seemed to not be phased by the obvious similarity Naruto had to the So6P, nor did he know what he talked about when Naruto mentioned the Biju's names. Also why would he have sharingan when he's supposed to have different eyes?

Possible Obito theory:
I personally think that Madara Uchiha passed durring the original Naruto series or shortly before. I think that he gained eternal life but could be killed because of Hashirama's DNA. HE found Obito crushed, and dying under the rocks. He helped him and took him in as a apprentice. He used Zetsu parts to repair all the damages to his body and his face is disfigured. Madara started to train him and teach him Shinobi history. The reason for the Moons Eye plan could be that Madara brainwashed Obito with his ideals and Obito, being so naive, believed them, but thinks he is doing good by completing the Moon's eye plan. Madara tought him how to harness his S/T abililities of his sharingan. I think Madara originally owned the Lab with all of the sharingan. I also believe that Madara was originally tobi, the long haired one. Obito, brainwashed by Madara's ideals, took the role of Tobi, to complete his Masters plan. He used the alias of Madara Uchiha to start the war as tsunade explained that the fear of Madara's power fooled them into war. I also think that Obito took on some of Madara's traits as he became a talented liar and minipulator. He said that he(Obito) gave Nagato the rinnegan but this was when he still called himself Madara, referencing that The rinnegan that Nagato has was originally Nagato's and Madara was waiting for Tobi to minipulate Nagato into reviving him(madara). Tobi said it was for him (While he was still under Madara's name.) Tobi is, "A shell of his former self" because of the extensive damage of the boulders and the Zetsu implants. I think Obito looks aged because of the fusion with Zetsu's DNA. Hope you liked this theory and please comment and share your thoughts

It's definitely an interesting argument... but if the elder son had the rinnegan (or something similar), why wouldn't tobi? he had to get those eyes from nagato first -- which doesn't really make sense if he was the elder son. At one point we've clearly seen a sharingan in tobi's left eye, indicating that at that time *both* his eyes were sharingan.
