If he changed just ONE person's age in the manga, it'd adversely AFFECT EVERYONE'S ages and times of accomplishment, Kishimoto ALWAYS stayed consistent with his databooks until recently.

Changing Obito's age, while the entire audience knows that Kakashi is the same age would adversely affect Naruto's age, & that'd affect the time Kurama attacked the village and in turn distort the time of every major event in the Narutoverse.

Kishimoto wouldn't ignore such a fact, and don't just say it's just fiction, even fiction follows through with a set timeline of events.

but sasuke never had his life flash before when seeing boulder falling on top of him maybe when he was buried by the other boulders he awakened it, and if he really is the man villain then why not? i mean his ability is op, you cant deny that.

I'd rather get crushed by a boulder than to feel the wrath of the Nine-Tail's cloak though xD Lmaoo that put him through a dire situation and he would've died had it not been for the CM state.

True, he is the all-powerful author, but he can't escape the consequences. If he sticks with Tobi=Obito, then he loses at least half his fan-base. The hallmark of a good story is that it stays consistent, and doesn't pull something out of its ass that completely disregards everything that was written before. Everything that we have read in the manga says that there can be no connection between Tobi and Obito...so if Kishi sticks with this anyway, he's basically saying we've wasted our time reading the manga for the past fifteen years.

You really think he is gonna lose half of his fanbase over this??? You are even more delusional than I thought. You may stop reading it but who cares you probably don't even buy the tankabon when they are released. I guarantee you people will still read it. Just because it doesn't make sense to you doesn't mean there aren't good explanations for it. You have to remember that Kishi writes this for young kids and teens and unlike allot of people here they don't spend every moment of their lives analyzing each chapter abs the databook(which like someone else has said he doesn't really have to follow to the T even though he helped write it)

So you are saying Kishi wasted an entire chapter establishing similarities between Naruto and Obito just to turn around and say that it isn't Obito. That would be a waste of a chapter.

Kakashi saw a friend, a teammate whom he had considered dead for the past 16 or 17 years ago all grown up standing in front of him and you dont expect him to have a flashback of his friend. Look, they are all in shock, they are all confused right including you guys (tobi = obito believers), and this thats what kishi wants mehn and he has gotten it. I dont know what type of jutsu or soul transfer jutsu Izuna used but i know it'll be explained soon enough. Tobi being Obito makes ZERO sense. I may be wrong aswell coz afterall i'm not kishi........hmmmph, i'm tired of this, lets just REST this CASE and WAIT! FYI i'm not in denial.

Your theory was plausibble until you landed that part with the mizukage being backmailed. This clearly demonstrate that you are ignorant. When in the naruto world did you see a blackmail at that level? and the scene itself demonstrated that he was being controlled. i think that masked man was madara then.

Anyway, i think this is obito, but i dont think he had anything to do with kiuby attack at narutos birth, or mizukage being controlled, or itachi massacre. i think that was madara.

My theory is Tobi is a Zetsu of Madara.

He can shape-shift like he did when he transfored to Kisame when he fought Killer-Bee.
He showed Kisame his face and Kisame saw Madara.
When he fought Minato his hand melted off.
