Think about it....Tobi's plan is to control everyone with his eye of the moon and essentially finally create peace. In his eyes this is the only way to create PEACE. The members of akatsuki wouldn't be willing to risks their lives for no cause....they are fighting for peace because of the damage war has done to their lives. Look at Sasori for example.....his parents were killed during war therefor entirely ruining his life. He wasn't happy without his parents and doesn't want anyone else to go through what he did....so he joins akatsuki in order to help tobi's plan. Yeah the shinobi alliance was created in order to defeat tobi but think of how many years shinobi and conflict has existed....you really think this alliance is going to last? Im new at this so lemme know what you guys think

Well, I think its good because it will actually stop all the rape and other terrible shit that I won't mention. Though I wouldn't want his plan to succeed. But Tobi certainly does have a point. If you want "true" peace, Tobi's way is the way to go, lol.
People will be living in the illusion....but they wont know it's an illusion so how can they tell the difference? In tobi's eyes he feels as if he knows what peace is.....or else he wouldn't feel formidable enough to actually go through his plan.

Well I was going to say welcome to NB but then I saw the join date January 2009 and 500000 kumi and this is your first post lol how is that possible , anyway back to the topic , I don't think that tobi is a hero at all , I know that very very deep inside he's not that bad , he's not a freak like orochimaru who only wants power and stuff , but he has false ideas about peace I think that tobi is someone who has suffered a lot from the cruelty of the shinobi world and he hates everyone in it he hates all human beings including himself and that's why he wants to achieve that moon eye plan .

Yeah I made an account but never really posted anything....im not sure what the kumi means either lol but you're absolutely right....tobi has good intentions with his power unlike orochimaru. I feel like in every anime or in every story a villain is made out to be someone who wants to take over the world and in our eyes we were taught to see that as doing wrong. But really all some of these villains truly want is a peaceful world. Yeah you can say their methods are rash and unjust but who are you to judge right? Man this is getting good but I have to go to work =[ i'll be on later to check out what you guys think

Yes, all of Akatsuki, even Pain had a vision of world peace. The point is, there are more sugar-coated ways of getting there and WE like to see the heroes winning.

i agree, i dont think tobi is necessarily evil, but i dont agree with his plan for peace, and in shippuden, the villains arent really evil, like in part 1, take gaara for example, he was a monster at one point, and even neji didnt even seem
like a good guy, and he was part of the leaf, now in part 2, you have the 2nd most powerful person ever besids the sosp, (madara uchiha) and he was made out to be a villain, but if you watch his character against the kages, he really isnt a bad person, but i still dont agree with his and tobi's moon eye plan

No it'll be one of two things.
1. Its an illusion where everyone thinks they're the same person, hence why Tobi said individuality makes everyone blind to the truth.
2. Or they're going to be put to sleep literally.

And people of that world wouldn't know if they could achieve that peace unless they tried. Its something Jiraiya and Nagato sought after of in there own way.
So now Naruto has a shot to make the world peaceful
Tobi is just giving up on hope and the people
He is going to live a lie just to make his dream come true
Because everyone would be under tobi's genjutsu, it would be running away from reality. And there is still a way to stop wars, if Naruto succeeds he can just form a peace alliance with the other nations to stop wars. You know he can convince anyone to do something like that with his talk no jutsu.
If tobi succeeds the world would be a mess.
Just wanted to say that i agree with you,that Tobi essentially wants peace but his way of peace is wrong(illusion).He must have had a cruel and sad past,and because of it,he hates the shinobi world which he think is useless. But he himself admitted that hes no good guy,so hes just the opposite of naruto.

Everyone thinks that they would just be living an illusion and their lives would be a lie.....but the people under this illusion wouldn't know any better. Not enough details have been given about tobis plan....but its definitely gonna be interesting when him and naruto actually meet.
