Tobi is Nothing In This War Without Kabuto! - What Was He Thinking?

Ok so, basically there is not a chance in hell that Tobi would have had any chance of defeating the Shinobi army if Kabuto hadn't come along.

Firstly, Tobi's Plan for his success in the war was totally weak, (i'm not saying Tobi himself is) - He had Zetsu's (without Yamato) which could perfectly match people - which is then combated by Naruto and his ability to see the evil intention in people's hearts.

Tobi had the 1-7 Tails - But now in this stage of the war - even with all of these tailed beasts - JUST Naruto and Bee are able to put up a good fight, Kakashi and Gai are doing work on him too.

Also, Tobi cant totally control all of the tailed beasts!

On top of that - Tobi is only able to reincarnate the 1-7 Junchuriki's through use of Kabuto's Edo!

So Shinobi army + Naruto > Zetsu's (even with Yamato)
Naruto + Bee + A few small Ninja > 1-7 Tails = or > Tobi (although the fight is yet to be resolved)

So now that we've established that Tobi would be easily disrupted and beaten by the Shinobi alliance + Naruto and Bee, we can now look at Kabuto's input into the war.

1. Capturing Yamato
- powering up the Zetsu's and allowing them to be a LOT stronger than originally planned
- Reducing the fighting power of the Shinobi Alliance by capturing a possible Captain.

2. Sensing Anko and her sensory unit and capturing her - making sure that the unit was destroyed. - Limiting the amount of information available for the Shinobi alliance (i know the scroll got through, but there would be more information for someone if it was explained in person too)

3. The EDO - Summoning Itachi - and forcing Naruto to use Shisui's eye on him rather than on Sasuke as Itachi had originally planned.
Giving the Shinobi alliance another 50-70 unkillable (only sealable) Shinobi - all extremely powerful enemies to defeat

This finally includes... Madara - Easily toying and playing with the 5 Kage's like little children toys - up until having to use Ultimate Susano'o - and occupying them away from their other duties in the war.

In other words - Tobi = Nothing without Kabuto (IN THE WAR) (I understand that Tobi himself is extremely strong - can phase, has Rinnegan, Tailed beasts, Sharingan Etc - But look at how the fight is going now)

Note: Sasuke will still most likely go against the Shinobi alliance - and therefore Itachi Appearing will not really effect the input that he puts into the War (other than maybe tiring him out a little bit before hand - but that just balances with Naruto being weakened by Tobi and the Tailed beasts (exhaustion)

I dunno. I think Tobi still has some tricks up his sleeve. Tobi would not have gone into this war without a foolproof plan (in his mind) to succeed. There is just something about Tobi that makes me think this thing is far from over.

He didnt really want Kabuto as he already had a plan, but it seems he has altered that plan given the circumstances. He was almost definately going to use the Rinnegan to bring back Madara either way (and may still do) but theres no way you can tell how things would have turned out.

I dont believe you can say Tobi is nothing, Tobi's been playing the long game for awhile now and each time he gets kicked back he just takes another route. Dont count him out just yet!

Correct. I think Kabuto just made things a little bit easier for Tobi.

Yea I was wondering how Tobi planned on fighting them all but I suppose it would have been through hit and run tactics and attacking certain areas and places and then moving to other places.

Tobi had other plans, he probally would of led to a more aggresive approach and just charge into the battlefield with Gedo Maze..

But Kabuto did make this war more intresting..

This is the problem with giving villains unlimited distance coverage were they can go anywere at any given time (I>E Tobi s/t) has the question always arises why didn't he just kidnap Naruto and Bee then be done with it.

honestly I didn't read it but, now that I think about it you are probebly right. without the edos the the alliance would have destroyed the zestu army. Now if he has something else up his sleeve thats another story.

Im not exactly sure what plan allows him to take on the Shinobi Alliance, the 5 kages, Naruto + Bee (that hes having trouble with now) Without yamato to power up the Zetsu and Madara (although he may still come back through Rinnegan etc - he probably wouldn't have brought it out yet)

And yes, Anko was led to Base by Kabuto - but they were on Tobi's track anyway. What if Tobi had rejected Kabuto's offer.

Tobi isn't weak - ofcourse not, but i think the War would be in very different circumstances if Kabuto hadnt come along)

Well we don't know him as who he might be. Also if he had planned for the war than he might have prepared for it in some other unknown ways. In the end we should not forget himself. His has yet to fight at his full potential
