Don't get me wrong, byakugan still has a few more uses that the other two eyes don't possess. It could help him fight better in taijutsu, the abilitity to spot enemies hundreds of miles away, x-ray vision, near 360 degree vision, inc. It's just that if he wanted a byakugan at any point, he could have gotten himself one by now. The Hyuugas are not scarce like the Uchiha are so obtaining one would be cake. But the thing is, I'm already annoyed Ao has one so I don't want to see Tobi doing the same thing accept worse because he'd need 3 eye sockets.
Hiashi and Hizashi didn't get to show us anything new with their Byakugans why should Tobi? I really want to see the final villains showing us something original instead of powered up abilities we've seen from other people. Other than a stronger Susanoo we don't know what Madara's EMS has to offer and I'd like to see Tobi using new attacks unique to him when he does get serious and not just a repeat of Nagato's paths moveset.
