Tobi gets no respect

He isnt overrated, but he got a OP weapon like every strong characters have; Space time ninjutsu. Also he got 7 bijuu and gedo mao in he's side, so no he isnt overrated.

This. Not to mention he probably has all the Rinnegan abilities (like the six paths' powers).

No way he is underrated. I said in my post he is a strong shinobi. I hear his name everywhere, even in posts that have nothing to do with him, so there is no way you can prove he is underrated. Read the threads you'll see Tobi everywhere. you said nothing besides what I already said and just added underrated ?!? WTF

Read your post and you even went as far as calling him a coward. In naruto there is no such thing as cowards or else oro using 2 former hokages to fight a 69 year old is a coward. Kabuto using others abilities to fight in a war is a coward.

Every technique/person has his weakness. Why didn't Tobi do all the work. Some examples:
- Sasori - He had poisoned Puppet-guy from sand already and then Sakura made a antidote of the poison. That way she could delay the after effects of it.
- Itachi - they (kakashi) fought them once and the second time they meet again, he already had a way to counter his genjutsu. Don't look into his eyes and a kage bunshin that couldn't be effected by genjutsu.
- Hidan/Kakuzu - Team Asuma had fought them and after that Shikamaru made a strategy based on their abilities. Second time they knew the abilitie from hidan and that was enough.
- Pein/Nagato- Jiraiya sensei had fought him and based on his fight he knew a few secrets/abilities. And Naruto could make a counter attack based on those info.

My point is if Tobi would do all those jobs. There was a big possibity that the enemy could make a strategy to defeat him. Cause everyone has a weakness. Also that weakness was found by Konan and she almost defeated tobi. But she didn't know about Izinagi.

And to say that controlling the kyuubi to attack Konoha is the same as saying using toad/snake summoning is also lame. Beside to control the kyuubi and fight at the same time means you are realy strong.

And minato got him, because he already made a counter plan to his SpaceTimeJutsu, cause he could be Intouchable and got to be solid again to grab/hit someone. And that way he used his FTG technique.

So does he has respect, yes. Is he strong, definitly. Does he play it dirty, yes but there are no rules in ninja world. Which villain does care about dirty or fear, doesn't give a .... about it.

I don't think his over rated. His tactics make sense if you think of it as Tobi was never really complete or not 100%. Like the time he got hit with Amaterasu or poisoned with insects by Danzo's guard he was able to rip of the damaged part of his body without any blood or pain.

Yes, it is a ninja show. But we aren't talking about ninjas doing assasinations or espionage. We are talking about ninjas that fight. All the ninjas in the show fight each other. They go mano a mano like I said. Almost every ninja besides Tobi some way or another goes head to head against other ninjas. We have ninjas like Kisame, Itachi, Hiruzen and Minato who sacrifice themselves for what they believe in and then we have Tobi who is scared to get his hands dirty. Brainwashing Sasuke and so on. Most of his tactics like I said are cowardly. Sasuke, a young ninja, ran into the Kage summit and caused mayhem. Yes, he did need some help from his team but his approach to it was like a boss. Come in with a bang and look for Danzo and fight some Kages along the way. Tobi approached Minato when he was having his baby and with all that planning and catching people off guard his plans were still crushed by Minato. That's sad. He had all that time to plan it perfectly.
