I know there are a lot of Madara and the 6th Coffin threads, but I would like to put all the info. together in one theory thread.

Note: I will be updating this thread as I get more information. I am currently restudying the entire manga, to get multiple points of view. I am not saying that any of these things in this theory are 100% true, but mainly putting all of the "Evidence" together.​

Theory Main Point:
The main theory or idea is the Madara/Tobi is not the real Madara Uchiha. This is presumed by the fact that the 6th coffin contents were not revealed, and in conjunction shows the possibility that Tobi yet again is not being honest with his identity.

Theory Minor Point:
The other point to this theory is to try and identify the likely candidates for who the impostor Madara actually could be. The few that make the list are:

• Fugaku Uchiha( Sasake and Itachi's father )
• Shisui Uchiha( Itachi's best friend )
• Sage of Sixth Path's( So6P )

*Will add others with evidence or if it is in the real of possibility.

Main Theory Point's - Evidence:

Evidence - Point 1:
When Kabuto first shows Tobi the IWR he brings out five coffins containing the IWR forms of Deidara, Itachi, Kakuzu, Nagato, and Sasori. After seeing this Tobi asks Kabuto what would happen if he was to refuses Kabuto's offer, and in reply Kabuto summons a sixth coffin. With anger Tobi replies "Madman!" and accepts his offer without the contents of the coffin being revealed.

+This in itself is where the theory starts. With Tobi's frustrated reply gives doubt with the reaction given by him and with that gives the possibility that the real Madara Uchiha is in the 6th coffin.

Evidence - Point 2:
Tobi has never used(revealed) his MS or EMS, but has only been seen with his Sharigan at stage 3.

+The reason why this is important is because of two reasons. One is that if the "look" of Tobi's EMS is not the same as what is known of Madara this would contradict two things. One that each persons Sharigan are not unique or that Tobi is indeed not Madara. The second point is that if Tobi is indeed Madara who was known to have EMS why would it not be shown that his eyes have the same "look" as what is known of the "look" of Madara's Sharigan.

Evidence - Point 3:
Ao was unable to look at Tobi during the Five Kage Summit.

+After the battle with Team Hebi and both A's and Gaara's team, Sasake flees to find Danzo. With the entrance of Sasake into the meeting room, Danzo uses the distraction to leave the situation. Accordingly Ao leaves the room to chase after Danzo, and after the fight with the Mizukage and Tsuchikage Tobi makes his appearance saving Sasake. With Ao gone there is no way to see who Tobi really is.

Evidence - Point 4:
The 4th Great Ninja World War, was started because Tobi's("Madara") meeting with the kages at the summit and dicussed his "moon's eye plan."

+At the meeting he also said that part of the reason why he is declaring war, was being not at full power. Tobi relates that he has not fully recovered from his fight with the First Hokage. So one of his aims is to become full-powered throughout the war. At goals end he would unite the world in one with himself using the powers gained from the 10-tails, the Sharigan EMS that Sasake has, along with the Rinnnegan acquired from Nagato to case the Infinte Tsukuyomi genjutsu onto the moon.



Evidence - Point 5:

Minor Theory Point's - Evidence:

Fugaku Uchiha - Evidence:

1. Itachi and Sasake's father was the leader of the Uchiha Police at the time of the clan massacre .
2. Fugaku was the leader of the rebel force of Uchiha planning the coup d'etat against the Hokage within the Hidden Leaf village.
3. Although Fugaku was "seen" to be killed, we also known that he was the leader of the Uchiha clan. Thus his powers should have known to be worthy of the position, even though his powers and abilities have never been shown.
4. It is not known what happened to all the bodies from the massacre. It has been shown that Tobi has a secret hideout with many Uchiha graves.***How did he get all of these bodies without the Hokage or villagers knowning?***

Shisui Uchiha - Evidence:

1. Shisui's body has never been found.

Did the Uchiha ever find Shisui's body after they found his suicide letter?
Also how would Danzo have gotten him grimy hands on Shisui's eye?

hmm this would all be contingent on the 6th coffin. I will agree with one thing the reason kish dosn't show tobi's face is because its a plot twist and to make us wait this long means it's somthing big. However, your theroy would also fit if it wasn't mandura in the coffin. It might be in some way related to tobi or just somone big, like one of the sage's sons or the sage of the six paths himself or even a powerful character that hasn't been introduced to us as of yet. It's just too early to tell and will become once again become the debate of the 3rd coffin that oro failed to summon.

Cool theory. I've been thinking about this aswell. First I'll disagree with it being Sasuke's dad cause ya Sasuke saw both of his parents bodies. Now for who may be in 6th coffin. If Tobi is Madara, the only logical choices would be his brother Izuna or a ninja we have never seen before. If Tobi is not Madara, then the 6th coffin is most likely Madara, which leaves the question of who Tobi is. My guess would be Izuna, Shisui, or a surprise character we may have forgotten about. Im thinking Shisui would make sense cause he may have made a deal with Danzo to take out the Uchiha clan by offering Danzo one of his eyes and persuaded Itachi into helping him which is why he mysteriously disappeared and wrote the suicide letter. Just an idea but probably unlikely. Kishi is full of surprises and since he kept Tobi's face hidden this long must mean that the revelation will completely turn the story upside down and have an impact on how it will end.

I highly doubt it's shisui because Itachi defeated him with a 3 tomoe sharingan. Same goes for his father. Itachi would be more dangerous than them both.

So the theory leads to someone being stronger than Nagato + Itachi combined. That somebody could only be Madara. I doubt there is another dead shinobi that strong that could be summoned.

It cannot be SO6P cause he's like 1000 years old and noone knows for sure if he even existed except for Tobi. I doubt Kabuto could have summoned him. It is probably a ninja we have never seen before or someone completly obvious that we may have forgotten or overlooked. Kishi has kept the mystery going this long means it must be something big and surprising.

I know I am not saying it IS the So6P for sure, but you cannot take out the possibility completely. Unless there is hard evidence to prove it. Like for example we know it cannot be Itachi, because one he was been resurrected by IWR and two Sasake has his eyes.

Who is "Tobi" ? For now, i only have 3 speculations.

-Madara Uchiha, what he claims to be.
-Madara's son, - Everything's possible. He could hide behind his "Legendary" Father's name to gain fame, and scare the other ninja. Also it would be reason how does he knows so much about Madara's past.

-SO6P - The newest Shippuuden episode shown SO6P sealing Jubi in "Spiral" like form, just like Madara absorbs to his mask. Also Tobi claims that Rinnengan belongs to him in the first place.

-SO6P's older son - Another person who had Rinnengan, and could give it to Nagato.

If it was Madara what would be the point of showing him his face anyways? It would serve no purpose. I know if I was wearing a mask, and was about to show my face to someone, there would be a point in it.

i think it might of been madara's brother, him and madara were always trying to surpass each other but then his brother ending up 'giving' his eyes for him. he probs would have been scared that his brother was back and like wanted his eyes back or something.

Well the only problem with that is it has shown him to be in a coffin. Not saying in the world of Naruto that it would not be possible, but i think his brother was more good that Madara in morals or ethics. The fact he willing gave up his eyes to his brother instead of being a power hungry person like Madara.
