tobi´s masks?

ok so..... tobi used to teleport from one place to another (cuz right now since he got da new mask, he hasent done it) ..well da old mask had a desing of a vortex and when he teleported it origen from da eye...
now my opinion is dat those masks represented a jutsu or tech..(obiusly cuz now dat he has da new eye his mask has new and similar theme as da rinnegan)..now my question is.... what was da first mask with da flames dat he had ,theme after??

Well if there was a reason to the mask, other than hiding his face, i'm guessing it would be to help him use the powers that he isnt fully able to use himself yet. He did say that he wasn't as strong as he used to be after his little run in with the First.

Kamui, his time space jutsu.. i dont think it has anything to do with it.. i guess he just wanted a change.. and also remember the other mask was damaged during his fight with konan to get the rinnegan from nagato.. i guess he just started to use a new mask.. i guess he wanted to signify his acquiring of the rinnegan..
