In real life, toads are an amphibious species that are generally related to frogs. Though they look like frogs at first glance, toads differ from them by having dry, sometimes rough skin and short limbs. Though they hatch from water sources, toads usually live on land-based areas. In the Narutoverse, toads are one of the common summons shown, aside from snakes. They are able to use elemental ninjutsu like regular shinobi; in addition they have the ability to use oil release. The boss summon of the toads is Gamabunta.

Very good, yes. One finds that Toads are capable of using elemental techniques, Kenjutsu and Genjutsu and they are overall just super cool. They each have their own personalities, which makes it great for RP. Anyway, here, take this scroll and sign your name in blood. This would initiate your contract with the Toads, before you can summon them.

Good, that's pretty much it for the contract part. *Disperses the Toad that carries the contract*

Now, since we'll be doing this analysis style, we'll cover stuff quite fast and I just want you to give me an analysis on the Toads, and the Arts when we get to it. This analysis can include anything about the summons/technique you can think of, including strengths and weaknesses of the technique, how you would use it in battle etc.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
Gamariki is one of the most unique toad summons from mount Myobokuzan. Although with a very feminine appearance and behavior, he's actually a male (this contrast has lead to many comedic scenes between him and naruto). Slightly bigger than a human, he is a capable toad warrior, with the ability to use Water techniques up to A-Rank, Genjutsu up to B-Rank as well as like most toads, he can use Oil techniques.
Note: can only be summoned once

Now the first summon we'll be covering, is Gamakiri. This is a funny Toad, which has a very feminine appearance, but is actually a guy. He is slightly bigger than a human, and is capable of using Water techniques up to A rank, and Genjutsu up to B rank. Like most other Toads, he is capable of using Oil techniques. Because of his weird appearance and behavior, it makes for some great RP xD

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
Gamatatsu is the younger son of Gamabunta and Gamakichi's younger brother. Contrasting with his brother and father, he has a somewhat aloof and awkward personality, general distracted from battle and his surroundings. Despite this, along with his brother, he has been training to become a Toad Warrior. Standing more or less with the same height as his brother (similar to a human), he can fight in hand to hand combat, albeit with a lower skill than his brother, but can also use Water techniques up to A-Rank. Similar to most toads, he can use Oil techniques.
Note: requires signing of the Toad Contract.
Note: can only be summoned once

Next, we got Gamatatsu, the son of Gamabunta and smaller brother to Gamakichi. He is weird, and generally distracted in battle but it doesn't mean he isn't a capable warrior like his brother and dad. He is a bit bigger than a person, and is capable of using Water techniques up to A rank, and even some Taijutsu skills. He can also use Oil techniques.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
Is the first toad named in the series. Gamachu is a mid-level toad that first appears when Jiraiya is introduced. Gamachu is always seen wearing samurai armor in battle. When he first appeared in the manga, Gamachu seems to strike the same type of pose as Jiraiya, as he would also seem to have become the personal summon of Jiraiya. This toad seems to be the keeper of the Toad Summoning contract scroll and unlike every other toad ever seen, Gamachu has not yet been seen talking, only quaking once or twice and mainly in the anime. In terms of appearance, the kanji on the necklace around his neck means "friendship," perhaps alluding to the fact that Jiraiya summons him in more relaxed situations. Only slightly smaller than a human, Gamachu is a very capable warrior specializing in Kenjutsu and Samurai techniques. He can use both skills up to S-Rank as well as Strong Fist taijutsu (non EIG). Like most toads, he can use Oil techniques.
Note: can only be summoned once

Lastly, we got Gamachu, the same Toad introduced with Jiraiya. He wears Samurai armor, and is also the one who keeps the Toad scroll for signing. He's the one I just sent back now >,> Anyway, he doesn't talk, so don't even try with him. He is able to use both Kenjutsu and Samurai techniques, up to S rank, as well as Taijutsu. This shows that he's the type of Toad to summon in close combat situations. He can also use Oil.

Gamakiri: A rather interesting summon. Not often have I seen one that's able to use moderate-level genjutsu. Pretty useful, along with the fact that he is able to use a specific elemental ninjutsu; but being only to use up to B-Rank and can only be summoned once is kind of a downside u_u

Gamatatsu: Sounds like a fun summon to interact with lol Pretty neat that he is able to use Taijutsu, as well as being able to use water release. The best scenario I could use Gamatatsu in, is the technique including him, Gamakichi, and myself.

Gamachu: Simple summon, not much interesting about him besides the fact that he can only use Kenjutsu and Taijutsu. Pretty much the Rock Lee of the toad contract. Like the other two, it kinda sucks that he can't be summoned more than once.

Yeah, Rock Lee of the Toad contract lol. Anyway, let's move on. Most of the stuff explain pretty well, but don't be shy to ask questions.

Type: Defensive, Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short (summoned beneath the user)
Chakra: 40
Damage: N/A
Description:
Gamabunta, literally meaning "Toad Boss", is the boss of the toads of mount Myobokuzan. An enormous summon (about 100 meters high), he carries a large Tanto (simple, square katana) on his back that he wields with great proficiency. He is very found of his smoking pipe and tends to be somewhat harsher than most toads, specially when he's summoned to "troublesome" situations. His sons are Gamakichi and Gamatatsu. Besides his enormous size and his immense strength and proficiency with a tanto, he is also a master of Water release, capable of using water techniques up to S-Rank. His large size and strength renders him immune to all B-Rank and below ninjutsu. A trait he shares with most Toads is the ability to use Oil Techniques, like spitting large amounts of flammable oil to combo with his summoners techniques.
Note: Requires signing the Toad Contract
Note: can only be summoned once

The Boss, the biggest Toad in your arsenal. He reaches heights of about 100 meters, and has a massive Tanto on his back which he can use in battle. He's a bit arrogant, which is to be expected, since he is capable of using Water techniques up to S rank, and due to his size, he is immune to B rank and below Ninjutsu. He is able to use Oil as well, making him a powerful summon. Take into account his size before you summon him though.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: A-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A
Description:
Gamaken is a gigantic toad warrior, similar in size to Gamabunta and Gamahiro. He acts as one of the usual companions of Jiraya and is considered one of the top warriors amongst the toads of Myobokuzan. Possessing a shy and modest personality, he defines himself as slow and ungraceful. However, that contrasts severely with his battle abilities and physical prowess. Wielding a sasumata and a shield (resembling a sakasuki), he is a very capable and dangerous close combat warrior. His size is accompanied by a proportionate physical strength and an unusual agility and speed, being immune to any ninjutsu B-Rank and below. He is capable of using Taijutsu moves (mainly variations of Strong Fist) but, if given a proportional sword, also Kenjutsu. Like most toads, he can use Oil techniques.
Note: Requires signing of Toad Contract
Note: can only be summoned once

Gamaken, quite huge too, was originally seen to be one of the best Toads in Myobokuzan. He's a bit shy, but he is a beast in battle, having a shield and Sasumata, he is deadly in close combat and is also immune to B rank and below Ninjutsu. He can use Taijutsu and Kenjutsu as well, and of course, Oil techniques.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: A-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 30
Damage: N/A
Description:
Gamahiro is a gigantic toad warrior, rivaling the size of Gamaken and Gamabunta. Although little is known of his personality, as he isn't too keen to speaking, he embodies the true essence of a warrior. Sometimes summoned above an enemy to crush it to death, his main abilities are his prowess in close combat and his mastery in wielding his twin katanas (strapped on his back). A master of Taijutsu (mainly variations of Strong Fist) and Kenjutsu (mainly dual wielding Kenjutsu), he is a very dangerous close combat warrior. With strength and agility that rivals Gamaken's, he's generally dispicted as one of the top warriors amongst the toads of Myobokuzan, a fitting condition that is further proven by his immunity to all B-Rank and below ninjutsu. Like most toads, he can use Oil techniques. A trait unique to him is that from the large toads, Gamahiro is the only one so far seen summoned using the (Kuchiyose: Yatai Kuzushi no Jutsu) Summoning Technique: Food Cart Destroyer to crush an enemy.
Note: Requires signing of Toad Contract
Note: can only be summoned once

Gamahiro, the Toad usually summoned onto the field with Food Cart Destroyer, this guy is massive as well. He's a real warrior, this one and is a master in close combat, and wielding his two katanas with great proficiency. So this means he can use both Taijutsu and Kenjutsu, and is immune to B rank and below Ninjutsu. He can use Oil techniques too.

Gamabunta: A decent summon, more or less. He's able to use up to S-Rank water, so that's a plus. But, what I like the most is how he's immune to all Ninjutsu up to B-Rank. Good for certain fire/oil combos and he has decent sword skills.

Gamaken: The clumsy toad lol Like Gamachu, he only has Taijutsu and Kenjutsu skills. But, like Gamabunta, he has an immunity to Ninjutsu, though limited to B-Rank and under.

Gamahiro: Cool summon with a cooler way of being summoned to the battlefield. Although, his combat abilities are pretty much the same as Gamaken's — nothing too interesting.

Good, let's move on to the next ones.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 40
Damage: N/A
Description:
Gamakichi is the personal summon of Naruto and Jiraiya and one of Gamabunta's children. He was first summoned by Naruto Uzumaki because Naruto couldn't focus his chakra during the beginning of the battle with Gaara, but has grown since then into a fully adult toad. Very similar to his dad in both mentality and appearance, he stands at the same size as his dad. Like his father he also uses a giant Katana in combat. Capable of using Fire and Water up to S-Rank, he is also a good user of Taijutsu (mainly strong fist variations) and has a strength well above most boss summons. Similar to most toads, he can use Oil techniques. He apparently learned Senjutsu and is able to use Senjutsu attacks, much like The Two Great Sage Toads. If he is able to passively do it or if he is constantly in sage mode is not clear. However, his speed, power and the ability to infuse natural energy into his elemental ninjutsu techniques (effectively turning them into senjutsu techniques) makes him a formidable summon.
Note: requires signing of Toad Contract
Note: can only be summoned once

Now, possibly one of the most versatile of the Toads, and the personal summon of Naruto and Jiraiya. He carries a massive Katana, and is capable of using Water and Fire, up to S rank. He is also able to use Taijutsu, and his strength has been compared to that of a boss summon. He can also use Oil techniques, and another cool thing about Gamakichi is that he can combine Senjutsu (if you are in Sage Mode) with elemental Ninjutsu. This makes him extremely useful in battle.

Type: Supplementary
Rank: S-Rank
Range: Short
Chakra: 40 (X2 if summoning both)
Damage: N/A
Description:
One of the elder leaders of the Toads of Myobokuzan, Fukasaku (also known as Pa) is a small toad (somewhat in contrast with the fact that he's older and more powerful than the gigantic Gamabunta) who serves as the main teacher of Sage techniques to Naruto and Jiraya. Possessing a keen intellect, he is a master strategist and an experienced fighter. Shima (also known as Ma) is his wife and acts as his battle partner but also one of the elder leaders in the clan as well. Capable and powerful, Shima matches Fukasaku's battle prowess and share most of his abilities. Both are capable of using Frog Katas and gathering natural energy to temporarily boost their physical strength (if they aren't merged with the user). Both can perform ninjutsu and use Senjutsu Techniques and while Fukasaku can use up to S-Rank Water and Wind techniques, Shima can use up to S-Rank Fire and Wind techniques. Both can use oil techniques, a trait shared amongst most Toads, and some unique techniques known only to toads. Ma and Pa are the only toads that can merge with the user to gather natural energy and transfer it to him, enabling the user to keep sage mode active as long as the Amphibian Mode is kept. The user can summon one or the other, once per battle for each. However, if the user wants to summon both in the same battle, he needs to gather chakra for one turn before they are summoned (the user does the summoning technique and waits one turn for the summoning to be complete, keeping his hands together as he gathers enough chakra to perform the summon). They seem to be constantly infused with natural energy or their sage mode is incredibly durable though they haven't shown the same type of sensory awareness as ninja sage mode users.
Note: Requires signing the Toad Contract
Note: The user may still use other techniques while summoning the elder toads, but cannot perform any handseals

Although neither of us have Sage Mode, we'll cover Ma and and Pa. They are quite smart, battle strategists, and are able to use Frog Katas, Ninjutsu and Senjutsu. Pa can use up to S rank Water and Wind, and Ma up to S rank Fire and Wind techniques. They are both extremely powerful summons, and they are great to RP with. Analyze it for me.

Gamakichi: Probably my most favorite summon so far. He can use senjutsu and has dual affinities to water and fire, which can be used to S-Rank. In addition, he can use most canon Taijutsu. Pretty cool, if you ask me.

Ma and Pa: Strong summons, though it takes a lot of chakra to summon both. They have individual affinities, but my favorite feat of theirs is frog song. Also, they are well versed in Taijutsu.

Yeah, so if you go for Sage Mode, you can utilize both of them to their full extent. Anyway, next we got the Toads that were donated by the Pervy Sage (Bless his soul). These Toads are basically just variations of the basic 5 elements, with each Toad capable of using their respective element up to A rank, and being resistant to that same element, B rank and below. We'll cover them in bulk.

Rank: S
Type: Supplementary

This toad is the greatest fire user of all the toads at Myobokuzan and can use all fire techniques up to A rank. Being the greatest fire user means that Kogamahi has great knowledge of fire jutsu and is unafected by B ranks and below.

Elemental Toads: Rather simple summonings; each toad is only able to use their respective elements, other than oil release of course. A nice feat they have the ability to resist their own affinity that's B-Rank and below. A downside is that after they leave the field, you can't summon for another two turns.

Very good, that brings us to the end of the summons, we will now move on to the Toad Arts. You will simply analyze the Arts as well.

Rank: C
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Mid
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: 30
Description: Fire Release: Flame bullet is made by the user gathering oil in their mouth, which is created by their chakra, and then they spit it out igniting it. This technique is a simple flame bullet shot at the enemy but comprised of hot burning oil.
Note: Must know Toad summoning contract to use.

A simple technique, where you will use your chakra to gather some Oil in your mouth. This Oil can then be shot towards the opponent, and ignited by any Fire technique, sending some burning Oil towards the opponent. This technique can both be used by you, and the Toads. Very simple, and quite weak too.

Rank: C-Rank/A-Rank
Type: Offensive
Range: Short/Long
Chakra cost: 10/30
Damage points: 20/60
Description: Gamariki and Gama stretches his tongue out of his mouth, and then delivers a single, powerful blow that makes the target hit the ground and stop their movement
Note: Can only be performed by Gamariki or Gamabunta. When used by the former, the ability is A-Rank

After that, we got a technique that can only be done by Gamakiri and Gamabunta. They are capable of using their tongue, to deliver a powerful blow towards the target. The tongue can also be used for other creative purposes, like moving obstacles, or even "throwing" someone forward. If you are smart enough, one can do a lot with this technique, though its basic purpose would be to strike someone or hold them in their place. Gamakiri's version is C rank, and Gamabunta's, is A rank.

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user summons a special diving toad (moguri gama) from mount Myōboku and then the user will hide in its stomache. The frog is capable of diving very deep in fresh water. The frog's stomach has a special barrier which obstructs chakra, protecting the user from sensory-type ninja.
Note: Must know Toad summoning contract.

Lastly, we got a technique where you will summon a special diving Toad, Moguri Gama, which allows you to hid in its stomach. This Toad can dive deep into fresh water, and the stomach has a special barrier, which obstructs the chakra, allowing you to be protected from Sensors. Same technique used by Jiraiya to infiltrate Amegakure.

Flame Bullet: Decent combo of two natures, though it lacks in power. I think oil is strong or resistant to water release, so it might be a good option against those types of attacks. It needs no hand seals so that's a plus.

Smack of Love: Strange technique tbh lol Simply smacks the target with their tongue. Though it can prove useful in CQC, using it can leave them vulnerable to a quick attack like lightning or wind. How fast does the tongue move?

Hiding in Toad: Good technique for infiltration or escaping a situation. Can conceal the user from sensors and possibly dojutsu users (?). The Toad can swim in water, which is useful for certain sneak attacks in places like the Ame borderlands.

Normal projectile speed, depends on range and what not. Not too sure about Doujutsu, but will find out (some of these techniques are super old tbh)

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra Cost: 15
Damage Points: N/A (30 if ignited)
Description: After gathering oil in their mouth, the user can spit the oil at their opponent. The consistency of the oil can then hinder the movement of the opponent until removed but is main danger is that its very easily flammable.
Note: Can only be used by Toads and signers of the Toad Contract

Now, this technique is similar to the one I taught you first. You will use your chakra to gather some Oil in your mouth, and then release it towards the opponent. The oil is capable of hindering the opponent's movements, and is extremely flammable. Its a pretty coo technique to use on the opponent, making it difficult for the opponent to use Fire and Lightning, which could easily set them ablaze. It can be used by both you and the Toads.

Rank: C
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 15
Damage points: N/A
Description: Toads can use this technique to shrink to the size of a small toad. This can be used for a number of useful things such as sneaking and being carried if too tired to go somewhere on their own. This could be used to effectively escape some techniques that have an small area of attack range.
Note: Can only be used by Toad summons

After that, we got a technique which is usable only by the Toads, where they can shrink themselves to a small size. This can be used to hide, or simply to evade straightforward projectile techniques. Its a pretty cool technique, which can also be used to grow the Toad back to normal size, as Best used it in his SM test.

Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short-Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user will quickly summon a generic, human sized, warrior toad that slams into the target dealing heavy damage. The toad is human sized and brings with him a katana. Upon being summoned the toad already carries momentum towards the target, making this a very fast technique. Once it hits the target or is countered, he disperses.
Note: Can only be summoned by signers of the Toad Contract

Lastly, you will summon, a generic human sized warrior Toad. This toad is summoned with momentum, like he was already running, and slams into the opponent. Not only can he do blunt damage, but he carries a Katana as well, meaning, you can use him to slice your opponent, and slam into him. Its quite fast, and is a nice distraction.

Toad Oil Projectile: Has no damage points, but can be used with fire techniques; decent combo. Needs no hand seals, but it can't go up to long range. It can be used by both summons and summoners.

Shrinking: Decent technique only usable by toads. Useful for dodging attacks and whatnot. Good for sneaking in things like messages or hiding in someone's clothes.

Body Slam: Best used in CQC. A surprise katana or Taijutsu attack can catch the opponent off guard. Though, the Toad doesn't stay on the field for long and using this technique can be a waste of chakra if the toad misses.

Awesome, next batch.

Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user summons Gamahiro above the target, crushing whatever is beneath him when he falls to the ground.
Note: Must know Toad Summoning contract and counts as summoning Gamahiro into the field.

Here is the most used technique around the NW. This technique allows you to literally summon Gamahiro above the opponent. His size, is massive so that tells you already how difficult it would be to dodge it. Nonetheless, this would aim to crush the opponent, but also, is a way of summoning Gamahiro onto the field. This means you can summon Gamahiro like this, and use, say for example, that Toad Oil technique to blast the opponent.

Rank: B
Type: Offensive
Range: Short – Long
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: Wind Release: Toad Oil Bullet is a synchronized elemental combination technique with the user and Gamatatsu. It is a wind natured upgrade to Toad Oil Bullet technique. To set up for this technique the user must stand behind or atop Gamatatsu and focus their wind chakra whilst Gamatatsu focuses his chakra with oil in his mouth and then releases the oil combined with the user channelling the wind chakra through Gamatatsu, creating a powerful and fast stream of toad oil, which then spreads to cover a larger area but maintaining a powerful striking force due to the wind chakra.
Note: Can only be used with Gamatatsu and know toad-summoning contract.

After that, a technique where you will combine your efforts with Gamatatsu to create a nice technique. You will stand either atop, or beside Gamatatsu. You will then focus your Wind chakra, as Gamatatsu focuses his chakra and releases a stream of Oil. You will release a blast of Wind, that enhancs the stream of Oil, and creates a powerful stream. Not only does the stream of Oil entirely cover the opponent in a flammable liquid but also causes physical damage. Its only A rank though.

Rank: A

Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 30

Description: The user summons the belly of a huge fire breathing toad that traps the opponent in its belly. The user can have the toad digest the enemy or capture him/her with the toads stomach wall, spill oil on the opponent and lastly blow out fire all while the opponent in inside the toad.
Note: If the opponent doesn't escape this jutsu before the toad digests him/her the match is automatically over since they are no longer alive. The opponent can escape only if their hands are free to make seals or they havent been caught by the toads stomach walls yet.
Note: Can only be summoned by signers of the Toad Contract

Lastly, a pretty cool technique where you will literally summon the stomach of a Fire breathing Toad and trap the opponent within it. The Toad stomach will aim to digest the opponent within it, by capturing them, spill oil on them, or simply blow out fire and set the opponent ablaze, all within the stomach. If the opponent doesn't escape in one turn, they die ._.
