Personality:
Todd is a shrimpy weak, smart mouthed,and weasely punk with extremely poor hygiene (resulting in, among other things, very noticeable body odor) with a wise guy attitude, who thinks he's tough because of the thugs he hangs around with. Todd hangs out with the other members of the Brotherhood as his way to gain respect. He's become close with Avalanche and especially the Blob, who's adopted a big brother type relationship towards the little guy.

Toad, shortly after birth was quickly abandoned by his parents and spent many years in an orphanage, where he was constantly tormented by other children due to his ugliness and strangely shaped body . He was considered to be mentally inferior due to his extreme shyness and mild learning disabilities during his primary school years, though he was actually quite intelligent. He dropped out at an extremely early age and decided to fend for himself. Based on years of abuse and knowing full well he was a freak, he developed an enmity towards everyone and everything. Eventually he was considered a lost cause and was sent off to Kirigakure's experimental facility which they used to house societal outsiders and prisoners of war.
Toad was in Kirigakure's experimental facility in a cell with other patients. He was among Cyclops, Emma, Banshee, Quicksilver and others. He was rescued by Wolverine and Silverfox and when with Professor X to escape the facility and join Sunagakure.
After ridding himself of Kirigakure and reign of the bloody mist, he set off with his rescuers to join their village and swear allegiance for helping him escape the facility which kept him imprisoned for years so they could isolate the Hozuki hydrificaiton gene and cultivate it, using it to further strengthen their shinobi army, making them impervious to any and all physical hits. However all attempts failed, but due to all the experiments which were conducted on moritmer his appearance was permanently altered, resembling a monstrous humanoid creature. This gave birth to his nickname, Toad, which he assumed as his real name, considering everything prior to his rescue as his past life, swearing to forget the years of trauma which befell him when he was first taken to the facility.
However, he made an oath that before his time ended in the world, he would find some sort of way to make Kirigakure pay for their crimes and to make them feel a hundred fold the pain which was inflicted on him.
After joining Suna, he had his first true allies who he considered to be his family since he never knew any of his blood relatives.
Eventually Toad considered why he was experimented on for all those years, something which came with an enlightening realization. His genes were so deeply sought after because his body was essentially a fighting machine, which granted him with limitless possibilities to become the most feared weapon in the history of Shinobi.

Slimy Hydrification Technique: Toad's Hydrification Technique is unique in the sense that it is a light green in colour instead of cyan (water coloured). This effect however is purely cosmetic and is simply a cause of Toad's lack of personal hygiene.
