Yeah, I know quite a lot of 90s stuff too but the OP is specifically looking for Blues/Soul.

He's better off with people who at least spent their teens in the 90s.

I didn't really start listening to music until around 1987, but even then I don't really know much soul/blues. I latched onto grunge by 1992, and I didn't really care for most MTV music except Headbanger's Ball and Alternative Nation. The best blues are from the 1930's, and the best Jazz is from the 50s and 60s anyway.
