Hi guys. Given the recent chapters and the general behavior related to the current situation of the manga, I've decided to make this thread to explain somethings about the plot and it's relation with TnJ.
Just to anticipate it, if you're considering to post "don't like, don't read" or "make a better manga or stfu", read this:
Otherwise, don't even bother posting anything.
Let's begin.
One of the biggest complaints people make is about TnJ. The expression created by fans, the talk no jutsu, is used to represent situations in which a villain is convinced through a dialogue, usually with naruto, to change his mind, behavior and ideas. The villain goes through some kind of reabilitation, he realizes that his ideals could harm society and they decide not to do it, changing his mind and thoughts and turning to the good side.
Something must be understood here. As much as fans hate TNJ, it is an important thing for the overall plot. Naruto is trying to reach true peace, he wants people to understand each other, to live together to accept and respect the differences. How would he achieve that if he started to kill every villain who disagreed with him? He would be extremelly hypocrite, don't you think? Reaching true peace is basically impossible, however, this is what naruto is trying to do, and he will succed most likely. Changing a person's mind and ideals is something that is almost impossible as well, but to reach the impossible, one has to do the impossible. That's why naruto can "defeat" villains with it.
But sometimes, when used in the "wrong time", TnJ might harm the development of the plot and the of the manga. Why is this? We see that many villains do terrible actions, murdering, destroying, etc. Not only that, but they usually possess a lot of power. So, in order to TnJ them, they should be defeated first, in order to show that they are not untouchables and perfect, and that they actually make mistakes.
You can conclude that the fights have an importance to the plot as well. However, recently, kishi has made the fights too short. They don't have the impact and the development they used to have.
Not only that, but the constant conversation and speeches(and speeches that have already been said so many times that they lost the importance to the situation and to the plot) ruin the momments in the fights.
As I said, the duration of the fights are being too short, one, 2 chapters, and after that, there's just talking, and the villain might even get TnJ before hs is defeated, cutting out part of the process that was important for the character development, as I explained.
So, this would be kishi's main mistakes.
I guess that these are the reasons that so many people are disliking the manga, as this has happened in this war arc/juubi's revival arc. However, everything has it's ups and downs. Kishi is still a skilled writer, he might manage to improve the manga once again. We must have patience. However, the criticism is important as well, so let's keep the patience and use of criticism, not forgeting the importance of respect as well.
This is it, I hope you liked it, thanks for the attention.
