Basic Information
Name: Nickname: Gender: Age: | Wahrheit Tiashe Raggs Teito Klein, 2741, Damn brat Male 17 |
Looks:
Tiashe is of small stature, standing at 5 feet 1 inch tall. It is thought that the reason for his short height is because he only took pills instead of eating proper meals while he was a slave and a student at the academy. He weighs only 43 kg, making him underweight. Tiashe’s face is round and childlike with fair skin, a small, upturned nose, and a small mouth with full lips. His round face and small stature make him appear many years younger than he is. His eyes, which are commonly noted as being his most striking feature, are large, wide and a deep emerald green in colour. His hair is dark brown, cropped short and parted down the middle, in a hairstyle similar to his father's. His build is slight and long-limbed, possibly due to his diet on pills instead of food, and his back is covered in scars from his days as a battle slave, as well as the standard slave brand. Tiashe is generally considered attractive, and appears to bear a significant resemblance to both of his parents. On the whole, he looks like a younger version of his father, but his eyes resemble his mothers.
Tiashe’s clothing consists of a black, or dark blue, thigh-length tunic with long sleeves and a neck-guard. He wears black trousers and knee-length black boots. His tunic has golden trimming on the shoulders, chest, sleeve cuffs and neck-guard. He also wears a gold belt. Sometimes, Tiashe dons a white robe with the Temple symbol on its back, which was given to him by the Temple.
At other times, Tiashe is seen wearing a long, white robe down to the ankles, having two slits, going from the bottom of the robe to the hips, at each side of the body, and long, white sleeves with large, dark blue sleeve cuffs. Down the back of the robe is a criss-cross stitching like that of a corset with dark blue thread. A small, white poncho (mid-back length) with a high collar and dark blue around the edges is worn over the robe. He also wears dark blue trousers and knee-length black boots.
Personality:

Tiashe learned to deal with the bullying at the Military Academy by ignoring the people around him. This, and his sparse show of emotion often made him out to be cold. It could be that sometime during his childhood, he realized that tears will not get him anywhere, so he stopped showing his emotions. However, the other students at the academy mistook his apathy for a feeling of superiority because of Miroku's treatment, and this in turn lead to more cruel remarks aimed at Tiashe. Possibly as a result of the bullying, Tiashe has a hard time making friends and is often suspicious of the motives of those around him, such as when he wondered why those at the Temple were showing him kindness.
Despite his wariness around strangers, Teito is less guarded with those he likes, especially Mikage. Chairman Miroku once said that Tiashe's compassion is his greatest 'weakness', despite all the hardships he has gone through. Tiashe's compassion extends to even his enemies, as he saved the life of Shuri Oak, who used to bully him, during the academy exam, and did not attack or harm his enemies when he had a chance to.
After living in Konoha for some time, Tiashe returned to his happier personality as he made various friends throughout the village. Tiashe is noted to have a high drive for success due to him feeling responsible for the deaths of the precious people in his life and striving to pay them back whatever the cost. Whenever Tiashe starts to feel weary, a simple thought of his loved ones will usually boost his determination to continue on, in turn rekindling Tiashe's usual vigour. He has been shown to be fearless. Tiashe has also been shown to care deeply for, and is very loyal to, his friends. Tiashe is selfless, stubborn and often reluctant to ask for help when he needs it, as he doesn't want to burden others with his problems.
On the whole, his personality has been greatly influenced by his mentors, especially many of the older males in his life: Weldeschtein Krom Raggs, Fea Kreuz, Karu, and, most importantly, Frau, his mentor at the Temple.

Background Info
History:
Birth
Wahrheit Tiashe Raggs was born on the 1st of December into the Raggs Family; the son of King Weldeschtein Krom Raggs and a young teacher named Millea Klein. The Raggs Kingdom was a relatively small one compared to Barsburg, the neighbouring kingdom. Both were situated in the Land of Snow. Through his father, Tiashe is the grandson of the previous king and queen of Raggs. An only child, Tiashe was the sole heir to the imperial throne of the Raggs kingdom. However, his birth was kept a tightly guarded secret and was absent from the majority of official records, as the Queen of Raggs, Vanessa Antwort, was a woman of very violent temperament, and would have had the young Tiashe killed.
Early childhood
As Tiashe’s mother was a 'commoner', the marriage between her and Tiashe's father was not recognised as legally binding. Thus, King Weldeschtein later married Vanessa Antwort, the princess of Barsburg, before Tiashe was 3 years old. The marriage was to ally the two kingdoms of Raggs and Barsburg, and although Vanessa dearly loved Weldeschtein, he did not have the same feelings for her, so Millea was kept as a concubine. As Vanessa discovered Tiashe was the son of the woman whom Weldeschtein loved, it caused the new-found Raggs queen to despise him. Thus, Tiashe spent most of his childhood in the outskirts of Raggs, nurtured by his uncle Fea Kreuz.
Sometime before Teito turned 4, Millea became very ill after returning home from a very difficult mission, thus falling into a coma. Krom and his son would still visit her bedside every morning with flowers. Although she was unconscious, the young Tiashe would hold his mother’s hands and say:
“Good morning, Mother! The sky is much more beautiful today! And I’m sure it will be tomorrow too! And the day after tomorrow’s tomorrow!”

While Vanessa Antwort was initially pleased with Millea Klein’s illness, she came to realise Krom's love for his concubine will continue through his love for Tiashe, who resembled her greatly. These feelings were further intensified by the King's announcement that Tiashe will be made the official heir to the Raggs Kingdom, (as Vanessa was unable to bear children, thus produced no heirs) despite being an illegitimate child. Maddened and heartbroken by the fact her husband would never love her in the way he loved Millea, Vanessa sought to dispose of the young Prince so Krom's love for Millea would die with his son.
When Tiashe was left in the care of a Royal Attendant, Vanessa lured him away from his guardian by promising to help him find flowers for his father. She then took him to a dungeon and branded his back with a slave brand which would forever mark him as less than human. However, after doing so, she was overcome with fear and guilt, as discovery of her crime would likely result in her execution. This led her to be easily manipulated by a ninja who wanted to buy Tiashe for his royal blood. In order to cover up Tiashe’s disappearance, the ninja proposed that they kill another child in Tiashe's place and the Prince's attendant be used as a scapegoat, making it appear as if Tiashe was killed. This would save Vanessa's life, but in return Vanessa would give the Prince to the ninja. Vanessa agreed.
“Mummy is very sick, and daddy always has a sad face. Since he loves red flowers, if I give him one he will be happier.”

However, Tiashe’s uncle, Fea, suspected that Vanessa had done something with the young Prince. Unable to bear the pressure, Vanessa broke down and revealed the whereabouts of Tiashe to her husband. Krom and Fea quickly rushed to get Tiashe back. However, a rumour was then spread that the King had stolen something of great value from Barsburg. This triggered the Raggs War, which began just moments after Krom returned to the Castle with his son and brother.
Raggs War
The Raggs Kingdom was soon in disarray and chaos as the enemy infiltrated the place. In an effort to keep Tiashe safe from Barsburg, Fea Kreuz vowed to escape with the child. After giving his brother a final goodbye, Kreuz erased his brother, Krom's memory, so the Barsburg Imperial Army could not learn the whereabouts of Tiashe.
Tiashe, along with Kreuz, and the King's best bodyguards: Agas, Mark and Karan, escaped the Raggs Kingdom on foot, but their efforts were met with hostility, as they were pursued by several foot-soldiers. Mark stayed behind and told the others to continue while he tried to stop the pursuing soldiers, but he was killed. Karan soon fell behind to try to stop the approaching enemy, but was cut down too. The enemy then performed an earth technique which caused the ground all around to crack collapse on itself. Agas caught Tiashe as he fell, throwing him up to Kreuz, falling to his death in the process.
The enemy was somewhat hindered by their own earth technique, and Kreuz and Tiashe took this opportunity to put more distance between them. They (Kreuz and Tiashe) somehow managed to escape and took refuge in a large town nearby. Whilst there, Tiashe watched his Kingdom being destroyed through a projected screen in the town he was hiding in. He then witnessed something horrific; his father, Krom was killed. Slain with a sword by a man in long robes.
However, Tiashe did not have enough time to digest his father’s murder as Fea then erased Tiashe’s memories, as a way of protecting the boy, should Fea be killed. After erasing Tiashe’s memories, Fea told his nephew that his name was Teito Klein. This was to ensure that no one knew he was the Prince of the fallen kingdom. Fea also placed a barrier in the boy’s mind, so that no enemy could extract information via Genjutsu. Everyone would just come to believe that Tiashe had died in the war. Sure enough, it did not take long for the enemy to find them, and the same man who killed the King did the same to Fea.

Period of Slavery
It is not known what happened to Tiashe after that, but sometime after the war with Raggs ended, he was found by a high-ranking man called Miroku Barsburg, and was taken in as a common slave. Due to his memories being erased by his uncle, Tiashe originally knew nothing of his past other than he was a citizen of Raggs, until he was orphaned at age five during the Raggs War.
Tiashe then was taken as a prisoner of war and raised as Miroku's battle slave for nine years. He was given a four-digit number for a name (2741), and his reflexes, strength and fighting ability were honed. It was his job to execute those condemned to death, and he faced abuse if he did not comply.
He lived his life under Miroku's roof under the protection of housemaid Kurena, and under the constant supervision of Miroku's assistant Karu. Miroku's subordinates were the only people Tiashe ever spoke to, and Kurena, though mute, treated him with kindness, whereas Karu did not.
During the execution of a death row prisoner, Tiashe was disturbed by the prisoner's cries for his "mummy", and broke down back at Miroku's home. He attempted to escape, but was stopped by Kurena, who blocked his entrance to the door. However, when she saw him cry, she moved out of the way, prompting Karu to tell Tiashe that Kurena would be killed if he escaped. Tiashe then vowed to free Kurena when he grew older.
“Kurena! Please move! Kurena! I don't want this any more!”

Academy Days
When Tiashe was fourteen, he was enrolled into the elite Barsburg Military Academy, apparently gaining a full scholarship on his guardian Miroku's behalf, and was considered it's star pupil. Despite his handling of his chakra that made him noticeable to the teachers there, he stood out to the pupils for all the wrong reasons. He was bullied because of his past as a slave, and because of the preferential treatment he received from the Academy. Despite this, Tiashe struck up a friendship with a cheerful guy, Mikage.
Tiashe and Mikage both got ready for the final exam of the year, which they needed to pass if they wished to graduate and become independent. The exam was notoriously difficult, with the candidates being required to kill a very large prisoner who had transformed into some kind of a beast after drinking a potion. During the exam, Tiashe saved the life of a panic stricken Shuri Oak, his tormentor, and he (Tiashe) and Mikage restrained the prisoner by themselves. Tiashe refused to kill the prisoner though, even when the examiner explained that the exam will not end until the criminal is dead. When Tiashe refused again, Ayanami, a very strong higher up killed the prisoner, and with that the exam was over, allowing Tiashe and Mikage to pass.
After the exam, when walking to return his documents to an examiner, Tiashe overheard a familiar clinking noise and looked through the slightly open door where the sound was coming from. He saw the Chief of Staff, Ayanami, holding a golden necklace, and the sight of this triggered a flashback of when he saw his father murdered. Recognising the Chief of Staff as his father's killer, Tiashe burst into the room, attempting to assassinate him. However, he was easily stopped by Ayanami’s bodyguard, Hyuuga, who captured and sent Tiashe to a cell where he was to await interrogation.
As several guards cleared out Tiashe's locker, Mikage overheard their gossip about Tiashe's fate, and went out to find and help him. As Mikage descended the prison stairs, he found that Tiashe had already killed all the guards, and the pair fled the prison. Pursued by the guards, and realising there was no escape for the two of them, Tiashe pretended to take Mikage hostage, allowing him to escape but ensuring the guards would not harm his friend. Tiashe then escaped by jumping off the building he was on, into the river that flowed there. Not realising that the river was so far down, Tiashe’s breath was knocked out from him as he was swept away by the current.
Temple
Tiashe's unconscious body was found half a day later by three monks from the neighbouring area, and he was taken to the Barsburg Temple. The three monks introduced themselves as Frau, Castor and Labrador, and despite the friendly reception, Tiashe struggled to adjust to life in the Temple. On his first day there, Frau tried being friendly, but his efforts were only met with hostility from Tiashe, and so he named Tiashe a ‘damn brat’. When Tiashe bumped into Labrador, he (Labrador) offered him a white rose as a charm to protect him, the pair of them unaware that the military had begun tracking Tiashe's movements. The military had realised that Tiashe had escaped to the Temple, and could not approach carelessly because those under the protection of the Temple could not be harmed.
After deciding that he could not stay in the Temple, Tiashe attempted to leave, but was suddenly and inexplicably reunited with his best friend Mikage. As Mikage was tired and unable to travel, Tiashe continued to live at the Barsburg Temple and swore to look after Mikage as he rested. Meanwhile Castor became increasingly apprehensive at the sudden, unexplained appearance of Mikage, and Tiashe was pressured into always wearing the flower of protection just to be safe. Tiashe, in turn, began to feel more comfortable in the company of the monks, revealing his name to them, something which he had been too untrusting of them to do before. He had by then remembered his true name, after his encounter with Ayanami.

Tiashe, on the other hand, explained all of his recovered memories to Mikage (brought on by the flashback in Barsburg), mainly his relationship with the King of Raggs, Weldeschtein Krom Raggs, and was surprised, but pleased when Mikage believed him without question, but he (Tiashe) was suddenly struck down with another memory of Raggs and told Mikage that he would be unable to return to the Imperial Army. Upon hearing this, Mikage told Tiashe to follow the light instead of taking revenge against the army, and then begged Tiashe to kill him.
Before Mikage had come to Tiashe, he was put under interrogation by Ayanami. He was given a choice between his family and Tiashe, to choose the one he liked most and then bring them to the military, and if he chose neither, then he would die. Biding Tiashe a final goodbye, Mikage suddenly became aggressive and started to attack Tiashe. Tiashe was unable to fight back, shocked at this behaviour in his best friend.
Frau, having found Tiashe in time, protected Tiashe and told him that Mikage was being controlled by a genjutsu which would end his (Mikage’s) life once it ended. Frau challenged the one controlling Mikage, revealed to be the Chief of Staff, Ayanami. Originally, Ayanami had sent Mikage out to find Tiashe so that he could be punished. However, whilst Tiashe had been revealing his past memories to Mikage, he did not know that Ayanami was also listening in. Ayanami’s new motive was then for Mikage to capture Tiashe and bring him back, as he had found out that Tiashe was the Prince of Raggs.
However, Frau fought off Mikage and defeated him. He realised that Mikage’s soul was being eaten by the genjutsu, and that it was impossible to save him at that stage. Tiashe did not realise this and begged Frau to save his friend. After being defeated, Mikage was released from the genjutsu, as he was seconds from death. Tiashe and Mikage realised this was goodbye, and gave each other a hug before Mikage disappeared…
The next day after Mikage's death, Tiashe became very depressed. His only friend was now gone. Frau comforted him, before going out and bringing him an orphaned Fyulong dragon that had fallen from its mother's nest, claiming it was Mikage's reincarnation. Tiashe was overjoyed that Mikage had chosen to protect him in another life.

Escape
After learning Sensory, Tiashe left the Temple with the little dragon. He knew that he was still being pursued, and did not want other people who were close to him (monks) to be killed as Mikage was. When he was a suitable distance away, Tiashe sensed a number of people pursuing him at a steady rate. It seemed that somehow they had learnt of his departure. But thanks to his Sensory ability, Tiashe managed to evade them. He went into strange places where he was sure he would not be followed, and sure enough, after a few days, Tiashe noticed that he was not being tailed any longer.
Life in Konoha
After about a month of travelling, Tiashe reached Konoha and seeked refuge there. He stayed there for some time, making new friends and getting used to the ways of the village. In Konoha, Tiashe was trained in the ninja arts, and he also participated in all kinds of village battles and tournaments. He developed both physically and mentally, becoming a much friendlier person. Tiashe also signed his first summoning contract, the Raptors, in this village.
