Through the eyes of a bird



I’ve forgotten all these feelings
that would make me sing along
evil hunger, my new home
for what used to be my soul.

Father I shall not atone
for what I am, or I will be.
My dreams were always meant to fly,
fly free over the sea.

Is the world just a riddle
for the great minds alone?
Is solitude the price
of the great key I hold?

In a night, close to fire
you whispered me your goal
and my eyes wide-opened
shined for what it felt like love.

Is this what you really wanted?
I laughed and stared in awe.
Don’t search for what you’ve never wanted
what you were never really meant to know.

Is the world just a riddle
for the great minds alone?
Is solitude the price
of the great key I hold?

But my silence didn’t warn you
of the fears of the unknown.
All you really ever wanted
was to find where you belong.

All the songs I sang to you softly
all went wasted to deaf ears.
Just the fire kept you longing
for a moth to feel your feelings.

Thanks man, I'm really not sure about the result but at least it's an improvement from writing a couple of lyrics only to end up in rubbish XD
