Three questions about Madara and Itachi

1- If Madara was the first to awaken MS, then how did he know that killing the one closest to you will give you MS
2- And again since he was the 1st to have MS how did he know that taking a siblings eye will give you EMS
3- How did Itachi get the Yata mirror and Totsuka sword for his susanoo?
I know it didn't come with his susanoo since Orochimaru was looking for the sword and zetsu knew about the mirror

The first two could be information from the stone tablet (maybe that's why Itachi told Sasuke to read the tablet for clarification).

Dunno about the third but it's just assumed he found them I think. They could be made to fit its user (Susano'o in this case).

1. I don't think killing the one closest to you is the only way to awaken it, severe psychological trauma or a very intense moment of emotions could awaken it, plus maybe Madara acquired it by accident, he and Izuna did kill some of his clansmen to become top dog.

2. He may not have initially known that it would give EMS, he was blinded by his overuse of his MS and took Izuna's eyes as replacements, maybe after he did that he noticed that using his new sharingan never causes sight deterioration thus EMS.

3. He may have found it before joining or after joining Akatsuki, it was never clarified in the manga.

Not to mention that killing the one closest to you is no guarantee to awaken MS, some did it and they never awakened it because it requires genuine psychological trauma. Merely doing it for power's sake without the emotional feeling of loss or guilt will not awaken MS.

They always knew how to do it because of years of experimenting, but madara and izuna were the first to achieve it as they were the only ones with enough potential to do it. Madara took izuna's eyes out of desperation, as izuna wasn't as blind and just hoped to get his eyesight back, luckily for him he gained another powerup.

1. probably woke on accident and based a hypothesis on it. It was right (Woo Madara Number 1)
2. Went Crazy with hate and was blind he thought eye transplant would get him sight but gave him more abilities and more powerups.

for number two, it probably was just logic, if you switch old eyes with new ones, you will most likely see. and for ems it was probably just an accident, or it could be about that stone that was in konoha.

I obviously know that he found them but how and where, and does the shield, and sword modify itself? Like could it have been a regular sword adn shield, but modified itself to be able to be used by a susanoo user
