Don't be a feminist or a menimist, be an equalist.
Don't be a feminist or a menimist, be an equalist.
*misogynist, I don't think people really use menimist. I do agree that it is biased that people who support men rights are just labeled as "women haters." Double standards are a real b*tch, I suppose.
Just one big joke to be honest. I remember some European company was forced to employ women instead of men under the grounds of "gender equality" by femminist groups. Pretty much gender inequality turned on its head. It didn't matter that the men that applied were better qualified, what mattered was that some women wasn't succeeding and that wasn't cool!
Not going really deep in to 'feminism' but will address your post only- what about when similar concessions are made in name of "affirmative action'' programs, reservation and quota based on colours of skin or religious or other similar basis?
Not saying it's fair nor I necessarily support it. Just putting it out there.

For me feminism is all about right to live with human dignity, similar right to property and right to education, right to vote and rights over my own body and any other rights provided to other citizens of my country by the laws of land.
People interpret feminism wrongly- both men and women. While it doesn't even translate equally for women in different countries and places in the same way.
Feminism is a collection of ideologies aimed at defining, establishing, and defending equal political, economic, and social rights for women. You won't distinguish on basis of caste, creed , race or whatever but see nothing wrong in depriving half the world population( loosely speaking) of these rights?
If you want equal rights go for equality. In feminism the woman is no1.
Truthfully I believe feminism shouldn't even be questioned. I don't understand why someone's political, social, and economic rights should be limited for something as petty as gender. I hate the fact that some people believe they are superior to those who identify as a female and don't even consider that woman's achievements or intelligence.
Rather than judging and limiting someone simply because of their gender society should be paying more attention to their talents.
I don't think one would require feminism for social, political, and economic rights as a human being. Those are an obligation on part of the government. Anything beyond that - I don't support it. I don't think women and men should be treated equally on many other fronts. If you have hard-labour for men, then it would be unjust for the physically weaker woman. If you get into a fight, then I don't think it's right or even ethical to raise your hand on a woman - that's uncultured and rude.
Call me old-fashioned, by I don't support equality on these fronts - Never!
