That is defeating him though. It is different than Madara taking control of him. Kurama could always destroy the mokuton so it would be a fair (as fair as it could be against a tailed beast) fight.

When you say "defeat" is it without sealing him? If it's the case i think no one except maybe SO6P and i'm not even sure himself could do that. Don't forget Tailed Beast are immortal and even him had to seal Juubi in him. He could not kill him

Madara and Hashi are the only ones that stand a chance. Naruto was inside his mind and had help, and still didn't "defeat" Kurama. He only was able to weaken him long enough to take his chakra

mito had to seal it into herself for kurama to truly be defeated. id say the only ones capable are mito via uzumaki sealing techniques, sage of six paths, possiby kisame, possibly uzumaki nagato.

1. he was eight tails
2. all his yang chakra got sealed by minato..

the kurama we are talking about has all his chakra and full nine tails

a healthy nagato can beat the 9 tails with all his chakra with chibaku tensei, its even said in the manga he couldve, he was about to capture the 8 tails and the 9 tails together with it, which he wouldve been able to because he was healthy(due to edo), but itachis found out how to destroy it, nagato can defeat the 9 tails, idc what u say, and if chibaku tensei doesnt work he has gedo mazo to back him up, and if hes injured in battle he can heal himself, over and over with the outerpath, nagato wins against anyone in the narutoverse when hes healthy, exept so6p and maybe just maybe kabuto due to edo madara...in my opinion hed still win

Regular punches wouldn't do that much. Maybe something like she did to madara would, but after a few of those she would be almost out of chakra and wouldn't be able to heal herself.

You can't heal everything. I can't see her surviving a TBB.
