Amaterasu can't be absorbed that's why. Not even preta path could absorb it. It's called the strongest physical attack in manga not chakra attack so probably that's why. Sakura soloing kaguya is not plot. Nothing was plot. It's just that you can't accept sakura's current power faster than kaguya's precognition and footspeed and shins 5 MS eyes.

Plot Nerf? F*ck no. Kishi's first showcase of Naruto and Sasuke's new powers was them kicking his ass. Kishimoto used Madara as a tool to show how strong the two main characters got before facing Kaguya, his loss was fair game.

As for taking everything the mangais says as gospel...nope. If Kishimoto suddenly decided to say Madara was a robot all along, nobody would take him seriously. Because that goes against what the manga itself said. Extreme example, but the same applies here. You can't change the story you already wrote with a loose statement.

Fact is the statement isn't a loose statement, it's an all encompassing statement.

Fact is kishi nerfed Madara's abilities so fodders could shine.

Fact is the manga shows a nerfed Madara losing in light of him not using his abilities and Kishi's statement.

But no, there was no nerf. The Madara fight was meant to establish how strong Naruto and Sasuke were now by putting them in relation to Madara himself, and the Kaguya fight did the same thing by putting her in relation to Sasuke and Naruto.

You can claim Madara is nerved, but the power level ladder is consistent. So, in conclusion....
