I would like to point out that this thread is not bashing Naruto's character. It is just my opinion on one of Naruto's biggest flaws from a writer's perspective.


I understand that a lot of people dont like me (mainly Naruto fanboys). They criticize and insult me. However, I do not hold it against them


If you dont like what I say, then its fine. I'm not here to change ur opinion. If u like Naruto, more power to u, I just ask that you at least respect my opinion and understand where I'm coming from

Of all people to say that there are no shortcuts in becoming Hokage or more importantly, living life.


It had to be Naruto.


But out of everyone in this series, why did it have to be Naruto


Naruto has a lot of nerve saying this to my favorite character (who is right btw that in order to succeed in life, you must take shortcuts.)


After seeing this panel for the first time, Ive come to the realization that Naruto is in fact, the biggest hypocrite of this story

Now u look at Naruto's character as a whole


He says he doesnt take shortcuts, yet he was given shortcuts (Kurama, dad is 4th hokage, senju clan, reincarnation of a God, predestination, prophercies, etc) and he took them to become the person he is today


You can argue that well Naruto grew up as an orphan and had to work hard to get where he is


But if you look at this

Ashura did the exact same thing Naruto is doing now, which means, working hard was already predestined for Naruto to do.


I am not bashing Naruto's character. I just think what he says about shortcuts is very ironic and it makes Naruto a complete hypocrite. If u still dont get it, compare Rock Lee to Naruto

how is any of this a shortcut? just because naruto future was foretold doesn't mean he could do nothing and it would work out.

naruto being minatos child did what for him or i remember the villagers showered him with love and attention he got all the greatest senseis the leaf could grant him hmm or wait no its the opposite the villagers did nothing for him what's so ever also kakashi was willing to fail naruto even knowing he is minatos child so yeah no shortcuts from this

he had to train for kurama heck kurama for most of his life held him back and made everything 10 times harder for naruto

and what he was saying to neji is if you don't like your destiny then do something about it and why would naruto refuse to help save the world when it would mean saving his friends and home naruto never said never follow any sought of destiney and last but not least naruto is doing what he wants to do in order to save his friends not because a giant toad said so or because the sage of six paths prophesied it

I don't think Naruto is a hypocrite at all. Yeah, someone can say that he has some advantages.

First, None of the advantages you posted were of Naruto's doing or will.

Secondly, Naruto never took any shortcuts himself, he worked hard with what he had from the beginning and progressed, point blank.

Thirdly, for me, the Rock Lee comparison at the end does nothing. IMO, Rock Lee just works harder because he had absolutely no advantages to begin with.
