Note: I am not making fun of certain characters that leads to a pointless thread filled with insults. I perfectly understand the rules and regulations.


I would like to point out that this thread is not bashing Naruto's character. It is just my opinion on one of Naruto's biggest flaws from a writer's perspective.


I understand that a lot of people dont like me (mainly Naruto fanboys). They criticize and insult me. However, I do not hold it against them


If you dont like what I say, then its fine. I'm not here to change ur opinion. If u like Naruto, more power to u, I just ask that you at least respect my opinion and understand where I'm coming from


I know this is another Naruto related thread. But I don't know if this has been addressed yet.

Of all people to say that there are no shortcuts in becoming Hokage or more importantly, living life.


It had to be Naruto.


But out of everyone in this series, why did it have to be Naruto


Naruto has a lot of nerve saying this to my favorite character (who is right btw that in order to succeed in life, you must take shortcuts.)


After seeing this panel for the first time, Ive come to the realization that Naruto is in fact, the biggest hypocrite of this story

Now u look at Naruto's character as a whole


He says he doesnt take shortcuts, yet he was given shortcuts (Kurama, dad is 4th hokage, senju clan, reincarnation of a God, predestination, prophercies, etc) and he took them to become the person he is today


You can argue that well Naruto grew up as an orphan and had to work hard to get where he is


But if you look at this

Ashura did the exact same thing Naruto is doing now, which means, working hard was already predestined for Naruto to do.


I am not bashing Naruto's character. I just think what he says about shortcuts is very ironic and it makes Naruto a complete hypocrite. If u still dont get it, compare Rock Lee to Naruto

Yes you are right. I still like Naruto, but it's really undeniable that Kishi ****ed his character up and turned him into a walking contradiction.

I always disliked the whole Naruto the savior thing. I like it more when a protagonist is special in some way but this special-ness is more of an obstacle than anything.

But I liked that phrase that Naruto said somewhere there - "I'm not looking for an easy path, but for a way to walk the hard one".

IMO it is fine that Naruto earned respect and friendship but the prophecy/reincarnations stuff was too much.

That was kind of the point, remember his conversation with Jiraiya in the very end of Part I? He does say something like, I'd rather be a fool who doesn't abandon his friends.
