Well this obviously isn't the first time Google did something like this, but anyone know how to disable or remove?

For one, the new update adds this quite useless bar near my browser tools.

You must be registered for see images

Is there any way to disable something like this?

This one is a little minor, but due to browsing with the Chrome Icon on the same time you start it, this is what happens now.

You must be registered for see images

(Disregard the horrible handwriting. xD)

First arrow says "Original", if you can't read it.

I'm more used to having the Chrome icon at the same spot you click the browser, so this is can be really annoying, and a fix for this might be needed aswell, if possible.

Any feedback or help would be much appreciated, thanks. ^^

which country are you in?
that might be why, or your computer may be different from others'
Nothing to do with what computer type or country. Try removing it from the task bar and going to google chrome's original folder by right clicking on Google chrome on the desktop > open file location and stick the Google chrome in that folder on the task bar.

For the first thing:
I actually like that update, I find it very user friendly. But I think it depends and varies from user to user. Since it is an update you can do 2 things,
  1. Either try Clicking that button then select change user and then select browse as guest.
  2. Second if you absolutely don't want it there then try to use an earlier chrome version and don't update it.

For the Second thing:
It does not happen to me, try to unpin the earlier chrom icon, then start a new chrome session and then pin the new session to the bottom. Once it works you can move it to whatever position you want to.

Yeah, fixed the tab thing (but now it shows my Google+ profile icon on the taskbar.) ._.

Does google post older updates, or do we have to dig them out ourselves?

it posts update .not directly.the tool symbol on right hand side shows different colors depending on how many days have passed since new version has arrived.so u r using new version after 1 yr again Google update their version then if 1 day passed from their update then different color(i dont remember particular color)

and about that person symbol.it means google is keeping record for one person.dont remove person from setting otherwise ur entire bookmarks ,history will be deleted.
