i've read many books and mangas and this one is the only one where i can come up with theories,i like how kishi gets all the influences of mangas,books,and movies and makes it into his own original story
what annoys me the most is when people call plothole when it's their own misunderstanding

Here we go again. Nothing is excused from criticism. Some people have high expectations for the stories that they read. Others don't, and they like quality like the COD games. Let's be honest, his writing has been up and down at times. The obito flashbacks seemed to have plot inconsistencies, writing screw ups, and overall weak reasoning. Is that entertaining to read? Don't get me wrong, I like naruto as much as the next person, but I'm not about to have tunnel vision and start excusing everything because it's a "great manga".
Too many fans have tunnel vision. Keep an open mind, and never stop pushing kishi to improve. Don't let writers get too comfortable and ride off their success because some writers will take advantage and put it on "cruise control". The result is decreased quality and I'm glad kishi has picked up the intensity again.

its obviously clear with yesterdays release that he isnt on "cruise control". I think you'll agree with me there.

dude,when I said "to please you",I wasn't contradicting what I said before, I was in a way quoting what u said before when you said that the manga was to please fans. you misunderstood. and please don't insult my intelligence,all this thread is trying to say is show consideration and appreciation. it is not pointless and if you've read through all the replys,you'll see am not an island with this opinion. all am saying is we all should appreciate kishi once in a while

Every chapter is 10/10 for me. Naruto is Mashashi Kishimoto's story and world - he has the right to do whatever he wants with it: I'm just glad I am entertained. And of course he makes mistakes - he's only human + I'm pretty sure most of these 'mistakes' were planned and/or will be fixed.

They love to criticize for no reason or with ridicolous parodies of logic, just becase in the net everyone can speak and everyone is sort of equal, random Poster X can downtalk Kishimoto even if he is one of the most successful manga writer in history while Poster X is a high school student with nothing to back up his words. And this "right" they have on the web, people do abuse. They really do.

Most successful? Stephenie Meyer is one of the most successful authors in history of novels. Now unlike most people who spew garbage about her without reading a single line from her books, I have actually read all Twilight books save for the latest spin off. Going by your logic, just because anything sells more, it's some kind of literary marvel. These people lap up this garbage as if it's something unique in the redundant world of cheap romance, completely ignoring classical texts. That must automatically suggest that the latter mentioned writing discourses are crap, because people just buy Meyer more.

Britney, Shakira and other blonde haired bimbos must be phenomenal as no one talks about Beethoven. Your analogy is wrong on this point alone. 'Success in today's world' means something along the lines of aforementioned list of 'block heads' and their ignorance in terms of following certain 'decorum' set for art and literature.

"Nothing can please many and please long, than just representations of general - human - nature," Samuel Johnson. Where is the just representation of human nature that drives the plot? Where are the vivifying elements of discourse when the manga is plagued with TnJ elements? Yeah, some of us just criticize it just for the sake of it. But some of you just defend it, for the sake of supreme fanboyism without talking about any merits of writing or lack there of.
