What was dark about Naruto, really? Madara never killed any characters :| people hype him to be some kind of god yet he couldn't kill one kage, neither did Sasuke or Naruto kill anyone, the series was never dark to begin with.

Right. That is why the War/Juubi Arc was a disappointment. At least the Anime capture some of those dark elements.

You don't need to be "dark" to be good. One Piece is one of, if not the, best selling manga in the world and it is far from dark. Sure, it addresses some mature themes such as racism and corruption, but overall its anything but dark.

I have to disagree with this. I mean One Piece is pretty dark when you think about but I think Oda does a good job not making the material too heavy all the time. Maybe it's Luffy all around personality that prevents it or even Oda's cartoonish art style but saying One Piece is far from dark...I dunno man.

The current arc is EXTREMELY ****ed up if you think about it but who's really paying attention when every character is themed after a sweet and the islands look like candylands

Okay, I will admit I had my mind more on pre timeskip One Piece typing that statement, which is great on its own right. Thinking back things really changed Post Timeskip. I mean, Pre timeskip had its own brand of f*cked up, but not like post.

There shouldn't be anything childish about shinobi with weapons too kill or protect ones self from being killed!.. This manga/anime is an has been dark from the start to me.. (They're shinobi that kill or be killed for their believes) I don't mind him dumbing it down abit but what's the point in that when he's using the artipel ninja/shinobi, there's no childsplay or child like scenarios with shinobi.. (Rated Mature)

Naruto & Sasuke are going to be set aside or nerfed really bad for this next gen to fit.. (NS ended with the power scales to high for the main protags so it will be bumb down alot for them but probably with different tech's mixed with old for the new gen..)

He did say he didn't want a copy paste of Naruto's gen so that maybe the only thing that I stick around & check it out awhile to see the results of.. Other than that, this new gen just don't have that appeal that the last gen of shinobi..
All my rambling aside though.. I'll read/watch wait an see how it goes..

are you serious? Madara killed all but a handful of ppl from the original 4th Div, the alliance members at their HQ, and the fodder that were around the area where he was resurrected. Madara didn't kill the kage because plot didn't allow it to happen, not because he supposedly couldn't. He could've killed those 5 100x over if he was serious the whole time.
