Naruto also admitted that he couldn't confess to her since he couldn't fulfill his promise of bring Sasuke back. Telling his father that Sakura was his girlfriend (in front of Hinata I might add) is the icing on the cake.

If Naruto says that he never loved Sakura in the movie it's a straight up retcon. He couldn't get Sakura, Sasuke had a reserve on that forhead since early part 1.

Nope, Naruto was never able to make me emotional. I remember crying during some of Clannad. And that's actually it for anime/manga. I think I was kind off about to shed a tear during the game Persona 3. Yeah, I'm sure that's it.

You're right,..it is silly that people would discuss their opinions about a movie about their favorite anime...in an anime forum...in which other people generally discuss that anime, how ****ing ridiculous is that??? And you're right you don't take it seriously..in fact you're emotionally detached from the movie that you feel the need to whine about people who post anything negative about it even though you could do this thing called NOT CLICKING ON THE THREAD, but that would be far too intelligent for you to do. First of all, naruto have a nindo of never giving up, it's one of his trademark, and nearly veryone at Konoha know that. Or we have seen several time that he gave up his love of her that much since Iron country. Out there he understood the deepness of sakura love's for emosuke ( he was emosuke during that time) If he didn't made that joke, some of his close friends would have notice that something's wrong. If the hero, the one who have done more than nearly an entire army, the one who have to deal with everything, if he showed it, then the morale could have gone bad, and morale in there is important. So admitting that he couldn't have sakura's love could have hurt him but also everyone close ( and with domino effect everyone).

Admitting it in front of everyone would show that he gave up, and naruto giving up was the last thing to see.

Se he made a joke in order to dissimulate the fact that he gave up on sakura and focues in her happiness with sasuke instead of him.
You know guys, that a lot of characters in manga and real life men hides that kind of wounds with humor ? ( City hunter for example =D)

Look you make blind assumption there. You said Im detached from the movie, hei, mate, I dont even care for this movie, it can happen in what way it want.
