This doesn't feel like a 'war' anymore? My analysis so far.

Does anyone else feel like this? I like Kishi and all but I feel as if the theme of this war has died down these past few chapters. This Is supposed to be a war, there is supposed to be trauma, hopelessness, but a glimpse of inspiration sort of like how Attack on Titan is portrayed. But now we are getting all these comical themes. People have lost many comrades in this battle and they are fixating on Hokage? They should really be thinking whether or not they are even going to survive the freaking battle in the first place.

I enjoy the fact that Team 7 are reunited, but this is honestly the wrong time for all of this. Naruto is making stupid faces like he always is wherever Sakura hits something and Sasuke seems to be taking this as a joke. Any other time would have been fine but now it just drops the war theme. Then we have all the other rookies talking about nostalgia. Seriously.Not.The.Time. Shikamaru and Shino are the only ones out of these guys that are talking sense at the moment.
Then we have Kiba saying that he wants to be the Hokage:

And don't even get me started on Sakura being on the same level:

Another thing that has been bugging me of late is the portrayal of the antagonists in this arc. The great Madara Uchiha 'The legendary Uchiha Warrior' has reduced himself from making it rain meteor style to sitting cross legged like a 5 year old girl waiting for a new toy. Obito is still in the other dimension. He's the only one that's still giving me this war vibe. I just hope that the Juubi transforms soon and Oro betrays the alliance to spice things up.

Another thing that has been annoying me through the arc is the constant use of PAIRING. Once again this is a war, A man holding a woman's hand like Naruto and Hinata have been would have got shot down in minutes in a real war. Naruto is reaching its end I know but can we leave that stuff till later?

I like Kishi and I'm willing to bet that he will pull out all the action soon but does anyone else feel like this?

Why es everyone forget that the k12 are probly the strongest in the ninja world and the reason they r alive is because of this. Over half the alliance at this point must be dead including neji. Its real and its brutal but not to us because we don't know the story of the ones that are dying and don't have a connection with them.

Don't agree at all. I think you're just being a little childish honestly (don't take that the wrong way I don't mean it as an insult).

The alliance were just getting their butts kicked chapter after chapter awhile ago. The 5 kage got demolished, then right after that Kakashi and crew were struggling against Obito, then Madara showed up and brought the juubi, then he killed everyone at headquarters, then Neji died right after that. I'll quote something you said in your thread

Maybe these recent events are the "glimpse of inspiration" that you say is supposed to be in a war. Seriously we just went through chapter upon chapter of fighting and bloodshed. Now finally the 4 Hokages have come to help, and as a result everyone is feeling a renewed sense of confidence and resolve that wasn't present recently, which has even led to someone like Sakura joining the main battlefield and trying to use her true potential.

Just saying, it sounds like all you want is there to be non-stop fighting and action. Which isn't a war. There are emoitonal sides to a war too you know. After all you are out there fighting with your comrades who you supposedly built an iron clad bond with, and they are suddenly dying all around you. I don't see a problem with Kishi devoting a few chapters to slow things down and give the alliance a little pick-me-up after all they've been through. Plus, this isn't Jarhead you know. It's still a cartoon. So you should expect the war to be watered down. He does have to cater these chapters a little to be "tv ready" for the kiddies who watch the anime

Sir, you're misinformed the war arc ended when the jūbi got revived (perhaps when the Edo tensei was released) so that's probably why u feel this way

We have to remember kabuto was the main player in the war controlling the war, obito was mostly doin things for self gain the wars over mainly cause the Edo tense was released and kabuto is still in that cave lol. And it's Madara and obito that are making moves, not so much as a war but battle for the world
