It gave Kguya power. I don't think it really gave Madara power either, though. Like you said he just needed for IT.
As I explained earlier.
Kaguya has stronger chakra but is dumb as hell, nothing she could do vs a warlord like Madara. Naruto almost solod her, Sasuke only helped sealing her in the end, but the most humliating thing is that Sakura was useful for once and landed a punch. You must really suck to a certain degree to let this happen.
Many of you forget Madara has the Tamoe Rinnegan. We can safely say he can use all of the abilities. Whatever Madara touches he always brings it to another level.
He kamuid as a juubi jin something not even Obito couldnt do after years of training. Madara adapted to Hashirama's Sage mode immediately. This genius doesnt need training! Give Madara any jutsu and he will school the original user.
Madara created a damn forest, some of the strongest nin Hashirama had and he only wanted to test it, meaning he had never done it before.
Its foolish to say Madara cant perform a jutsu while having all the ingredients... when will you ppl learn? How many of your favorites must get slaughtered before you realise...

We never got to see madara use the full power of the third eye. Kaguya used it for dimision shifting and nature controlling. It's only natural that madara could do more with it than IT

Naruto and Sasuke are Kaguya's Kryptonite or weakness to begin with because of seal.
Sakura punched an injured, in a blind spot and in corner Kaguya. That isn't even impressive to begin with.
Safely say isn't fact. The real fact is Madara doesn't have a Kekkei Mora that could create a new space time, there's no hype other than Safely Say from Madara's fanboys.
Madara is Obito's Master, of course he knew about Kamui. It's funny, that genius Madara couldn't do Chidori or Rasengan and lacked knowledge about BZ plans, LOL. Madara lacked power and information about Kaguya's Kekkei Mora and creating new time space.
Kaguya did the same with the previous IT.
It's foolish to assume Madara could do anything WITHOUT HYPES AND FEATS.

I/T seems like quite the powerup to me, plus sasuke's teleportation & most likely kaguya's dimensional shifting derive from that eye, seems like a hell of a powerup to me. Madara just never had the chance to unlock his ability which could've been an OP s/t jutsu.
in madaras case besides IT i dont know, but in kaguya´s case it was obvious she used that eye to change dimension as whenever she did it we got a closeup to her eye, anyway i dont think the eye is just there for the looks
