[Discussion] There is something about The Sage that doesn't add up

He mentions "sealing my mother". But according to BZ Hagoromo doesn't know about the whole Kaguya+Shinju=Juubi. Hagoromo even told Naruto that the Juubi is an incarnation of the Shinju, which was false. And based on his talk with Kakashi about Obito he doesn't know what went on in the battle where it was revealed. Like Naruto reviving Obito and him dying.

The Juubi is still an incarnation of the Shinju, but that's just not all of what it is.
I'd imagine Hagoromo had some form of expectation that Kaguya would make a return. He told Naruto that Madara was trying to achieve her power.

According Black Zetsu it's not an incarnation.

All he knows is the symbols on his hands, that he gave to Naruto and Sasuke, returned. Those markings were meant to seal his mother's chakra and I really don't see why Naruto and Sasuke would waste the markings to seal a rock or something. It's fair to assume all he knows is that his mother or his mother's chakra was sealed and he has no clue that his mother "became" the god tree's will.

He was watching Naruto didn't bring Obito back literally. Naruto's TNJ inspired Obito to come back. What the sage meant is that he would talk to Obito about how Naruto inspired him. Also, if he hadn't seen the battle he wouldn't have known Kakashi led them in the first place.

Naruto did literally bring Obito back in chapter 682. The Sage can't talk to Obito because he is dead and was wondering if he was still there. He didn't know Obito died.

Why would the sage care about 40000 fodder ninja? Lot more ninja then that have died in other wars before this one. Sage is only concerned with preventing the juubi from being used for IT.
