It wasn't a weak tbb.It certainly wasn't as strong as the one madara used in the latest chapter but that doesn't mean oro didn't perfect the gates.Each gate has a specific task.Hashirama's was stronger because he is overall stronger then oro.

oke i understand that but. we have seen suigetsu tanking a full tbb from full power 8 tails and oro cant block a tbb from the 4 tailed

IIRC, the databook states that summoning just 1 gate uses up a lot of chakra and is something ordinary ninja cannot do. We have to remember that when Orochimaru fought Naruto, he was in a weakened state.

Look at the page when all the gates have been hit by the bijuu dama, you can clearly see atleast 4 of the gates, the fifth one is really hard to see but we know it is 5 because Hashirama says Gojuu Rashoumon which means 5 and the translation says quintiple which means set of 5.

The reason why Oro summoned 3 could be because he underestimated the power of the bijuu dama or he had to summon them quickly and with his chakra remaining 3 was the feasible number.

Uhm, why do you count them? The picture is very unclear, and doesn't really show 5 that well. However, the text Gojuu, means quintuple. So clearly there are 5 gates..

Now, your point about Orochimaru not perfecting this jutsu is just an assumption/statement. Oro clearly didn't need to summon more than 3 gates, so why would he summon all, if he could? It would just cost more chakra. So that argument is clearly invalid.

Also of course you're misunderstanding that Hashirama held a TBB combined with Susanoo sword. He didn't he simply changed its direction with the gates, so he didn't take any impact from the attack. So also this is very wrong. Hashi's gates was not even close at stopping that jutsu.....
