many ppl found it before you in the comment thread for the latest manga. I do understand by the way it´s shown, simply demonstrates Hashirama´s mastery, and maybe, just maybe, Orochimaru tried saving some chakra byu using 3 and not 5.

Note: I don´t speak Jpaanese but iread 2 translations and both used the number 5. So whether u count the gates or not, they are supposed to be there beacuse it´s implied in written form

First, I only really count 4 gates in that picture, not 5. But that doesn't matter.

Orochimaru didn't need to summon 4 or 5 of them. 3 was enough. Orochimaru isn't stupid enough to waste chakra summoning things he doesn't need.

There is only 3 summoned, red, green and blue were summoned, not 4 or 5.
