This. But good points! Plus rep for the good eye! :D
thanks...

I think they are more like monuments to peace and war.
Well it seems more likely that the statue is based upon Asura - I mean in Buddhism it symbolizes things whats not to say its symbolizing something in Naruto U_U I mean Kishi bases a lot of his things on mythology etc
ya maybe...

it looks like madara's susanoo
there is also a statue that look like madara's susanoo...(see the pic below RIGHT side statue)
i also have a theory about madara and susanoo statue here's the link

you guys are forgetting one thing....few people believe the so6p ever existed...

but while the statue on the left has a staff similar to the so6p i doubt that that place has anything to do with so6p...seems more like it would be a buddist temple

pretty sure those are gods from some religion in the real world, maybe slightly changed to match the series but have nothing to do with So6P..

Kishi and his brother both base alot of what they write on Mythology from all parts of the world, the tailed beast are all some mythological story behind them, the "real names" they have are also from mythology stories such as Gyuuki(8tails) Shukaku(1 tails) etc..

But those statues look like Buddhist figures, maybe Krishna the God of Creation and Destruction, notice both have 6 arms..one is peaceful and one is war-ready..looks like Kishi's version of Krishna to me since Krishna could either be the Creator or Destroyer at any time..and male or female..

Its just the weapon that makes them similiar, that staff with the rings is a symbolic weapon used by monks for defense, offense, imbolizing and blinding the enemy.
