We never got to see Nagato use the Bijuus in battle, all he did before was extract them and put them in the Mazo, not use the Bijuus to the extent that Tobi did, so anything Nagato could have done more efficiently or not in terms of that is merely the subject of speculation because we will never get to see him do it

We know that Nagato has huge chakra reserves. We know that one must have a sufficient amount of chakra to perform Rinnei tensei. Obito has already admitted that he would die from using the technique. You don't have a foundation.

As far as Obito having more mastery of the rinnegan I still haven't seen him do anything yet that would convince me. Everything Nagato did was rinnegan related, it's like Obito implanted the fodder side of the rinnegan. I was also wondering if it's possible another reason Obito can't revive him is his lack of Uzamaki blood. But like you said, the manner in which he reacted to Kabuto using edo on Madara suggests that that was a huge kink in the plan to a. Revive Madara and b. Stay alive to be with Rin in the dreamworld. I doubt he would have been willing to do 1 without the other

Obito's fighting style is more than anything related to his MS and his Kamui. We might see more of his use of Rinnegan in the upcoming chapters.
