No sane person would follow Sasuke.

I don't think his reasoning is all that bad. Not saying I agree with him.

Those that know him already and know that he's cold and uncaring would obviously not follow him.

But there are thousands of shinobi that only know he's a criminal and nothing about the individual. They also know that he helped save them.

So if he tells them about the Uchiha Massacre and how Bijuu existing will risk another Juubi revival, then I'm sure he would gain support.

The Shinobis are not so gullible to follow someone of ill repute, it's farcical.

The Mist Shinobi followed the Bloody Mist tradition.

Orochimaru had his own Sound Village.

The 4th Kazekage tortured his son and he was renowned as a great leader.

Indra had his own clan after trying to kill his brother

Shinobi are very gullible and those examples are far worse than what Sasuke might offer.

I think that some of the alliance will agree with Sasuke. The TB are too dangerous and may allow another tyrant. Some may even blame the Sage or the TB for what happened. I think Nardo may have a riot on his hands if he tries to defend Kurama.

I think Sasuke will end up gaining only a small number of followers compared to the general populace but this will be enough to start a guerilla war/insurgency in at least a few of the five great shinobi nations. One of the reasons is that people still look down on bijuu considering they have been used for destruction which Sasuke can prevent by sealing them all away. The shinobi alliance just witnessed a lot of destruction thanks to the power of the nine bijuu so the destruction caused by the bijuu will still be in their minds.

The smaller nations have never benefitted from the bijuu and for that reason, their power has been marginalized so they'd support Sasuke's plans to get rid of the bijuu or else it is possible that after a while, one shinobi nation may end up becoming too greedy and start taking bijuu. What will follow is that other shinobi villages will end up having to compete and an armament process will begin. The smaller nations have no chance at survival as they can't tame bijuu and can't get away with it but the larger nations can still do so.

Even though Naruto will have the support of the majority, Sasuke will gain the support of the smaller villages as well as some outcasts/rebellious figures within the major nations, allowing an insurgency within these nations to commence. As a result, these smaller neglected nations will end up supporting the insurgency in a bid to weaken the strength of the five Great Nations.

Furthermore, Suigetsu is bound to become the leader of the new Seven Ninja Swordsmen so I expect him to recruit six others underneath him. He'll probably stay loyal to Sasuke for convenience. This will allow Suigetsu to stir some chaos within the Hidden Mist, which has had a shady past. In the event my theory gains substance, the hidden mist will be the centre of the new revolution arc which is needed because this village had a bloody past which wasn't touched upon. Also, the current Mizukage has very little development so she could be developed more.

Sasuke is the last surviving member of the Uchiha Clan so others from special shinobi clan that feel threatened like Juugo's clan, for example, will support him. If Sasuke ends up revealing the truth about the Uchiha massacre, a some of Konoha shinobi will end up disenfranchised with the Konoha elders as well as the so called will of fire and invite suspicions from neighbouring lands.

Kumo and Iwa have had warlike leaders so the temperament of their citizens has been aggressive from the start. Expect some rebellious people in these villages too especially because of the corruption caused by the current Raikage and Tsuchikage. Sure they may have recently changed, but people aren't going to change their perception that fast.

Your theories are always garbage and never come true, so you basically just confirmed that Lightbringer will be correct.

OT: Yes, that is what will most likely happen. It's the only relevant source of conflict that can arise for the plot.
got damn...

I agree with Icelerate. Remember this scene.

This group and with more people joining in is enough to start another Revolt.

I honestly see Sasuke creating a village akin to Hanzo's Hidden Rain.

Perhaps he'll take over the Hidden Sound?

I don't agree with you that this will be the premise of the movie but I do agree that there will probably be plenty of people who will follow him. Anyone who has ever been hurt by a tailed beat rampage might be willing to follow him. People from some of the smaller villages who have always felt neglected and used by the bigger villages might see some logic in his plan.

Even though Naruto promised to work on the problems of the smaller villages, they might not feel like waiting and think that Sasuke is doing something now. So there is a possibility that anyone who is unhappy with the shinobi system or felt that they have been treated unfairly in some way might join him.

After a war and IT, people will be unsettled and afraid of what the future brings and Sasuke is taking action now. To some people that might be comforting. They might not want to wait for the alliance to discuss things and make changes.

I don't agree with Sasuke and I hope he drops the revolution idea after he and Naruto fight and talk, but I can see people being willing to join his cause. No population is 100% happy with all of their government's decisions. NV would be no different in that respect.
