After reading the latest chapter, Sasuke does indeed want to become the hokage and Change the village. I know this was a WTF Moment but after i contemplated on committing a robbery because that was so absurd and Out of question, i came to the conclusion that Sasuke becoming hokage is indeed plausible and Makes more sense than naruto becoming hokage.
The hatred mostly originated back when the hidden leaf village was being formed by madara and hashirama. Hashirama wanted to make Madara the hokage to prove that he means well and to let an uchiha take the governing spot so that There would be no conflicts with the uchiha. As we all read, Tobirama got in the way and Made madara leave the village which ultimately started a war between the leaf village and Madara.
Had Madara became the hokage, There would not of been war between madara and The village. That is where Sasuke comes into play, naruto and sasuke are supposed to be the ones who stop the curse of hatred and what better way for that to happen than sasuke becoming the hokage.
Naruto wanted to become the hokage to get acknowledged and looked upon, But people already aknowledge him and They think of him as a hero for what he did. There is no reason for Naruto to become hokage.
Sasuke needs to become the hokage so the curse of hatred stops and An uchiha can finally become a hokage. Once that happens, The curse of hatred will finally be over and True peace will rain upon the shinobi world.
Conclusion:
Naruto does not need to become the hokage as he already got acknowledged and Looked upon by everyone in the village. Sasuke needs to become the hokage so he can extinguish the curse of hatred and Bring peace.
