How far from the earths surface would Hagoromo have to throw the CT orb?I don't know how you can't understand the simplest of words. Earth's escape velocity is the speed needed to break loose from the gravitational attraction of the planet. In even SIMPLER WORDS, the rocks cannot reach space because they would be too slow. When they are too slow, the Earth's gravitational attraction will refrain them from entering space unless they reach certain speeds. That right there is a simple given. Why do you think rocketships need to propel themselves at such speeds to escape earth? If the gravitational pull of CT is not fast enough, then the gravity from earth would refrain the rocks from entering space. Given that there is a moon in the manga means that Hagoromo successfully did it. Vague? Skepticism? Ok let's run down. Escape velocity is a given, the success in creating the moon is a given, the mass of the moon is a given. That's all there is needed to perfectly calculate this. There is no vague or skepticism about this, it's all given.
You must have forgotten that the moon is larger than the earths surface to atmosphere distance, there would be a need for the rocks to travel insane speeds, the moon would propel out of the earths range just like a satellite . And there are two forces acting upon the rocks, both the gravity of the naruto earth and the CT, there fore the earth escape velocity is unnecessary if the ct has that great of a pull, which it does considering the potency to create the moon.
