Firstly if u have an EMS it does cost an eye as it is still not the complete vrsion of the uchihas dojutsu, the rinnegan is. That is when they don't cost an eye.

And secondly nice attempt but personally I don't think so.... It seems more likely that nagatos rinnegan is actually madaras rinnegan which was transplanted into nagato.

yeah, good point! I actually think that Tobi is Kagami who is Madara's son. So when madara's died he took the eyes and put them on Nagato. Nagato beingand Uzumakiis more suited to use the Rinnegan and the ultimate purpose... Revive Madara, that is why Tobi said that Nagato betrayed him and that the rinne tensei was meant for him, not exactly for him, but for his father madara

lmao im laughing at some of these posts.... everyone missed the fact that hashirama's cells is needed for izanagi.

that ova? since when did madara obtain hashirama's cells to use izanagi? so far tobi and danzo could do it because they had it in them. what ever madara did would be something else because if it was izanagi, then theres a serious plot hole.

that video is no where near canon. there were another so called ovas from UNSG. in of them was the battle against sasuke in the 5 kage summit. we saw how that battle went in the manga but in the game's ova it was a lot different. game is only a game, not canon material.

OT:
EMS will lose it's sight for that too and so far it's been stated it requires senju's DNA. we haven't seen itachi's izanami yet so we can't say anything about it.

this is about izanagi, not izanami because theres not much explaination about it, but its actual fact from manga(cant be bothered looking for it to prove that im right.)

its only fitting you need both DNA, uchiha and Senju to exacute Izanagi, a technique that both uses yin and yang.

My theory is -and sorry if somebody has already said this, i haven t read all comments- so : madara through his battle with the 1st got his dna and awekened rinnegan - i know its not decided yet whether both dna-s are nedded or not but i think yes- but was fatally wounded so he came up with a plan (when kabuto talks to madara through muu theyre referring to a plan) and created tobi + white zetsu -maybe with the help of black zetsu - from hashiramas mokuton and gave tobi the sharingan and somehow nagato got the rinnegan (when muu summoned madara he said thought that the plan was ready and said that brat nagato must have grown so probably they were waiting for that) and the plan was to revive the original body when the two are united again- tobi once said that the gedo rinne tensei was to be used for his sake but nagato betrayed him.
