Uzumaki are basically a branch originated from the younger son's descendants i think.....maybe and the sealing jutsu was perhaps passed through them....the other branch possibly the senjus migrated to the forest......maybe there was some strife within the branches....but later on during the time of hashirama both clans came closer again probably...

Yeah its obvious kushina is using the same or extremely close sealing jutsu on kurama. It makes sense. Although the uzumaki clan could have just adopted their own way of using the jutsu. Just because someone is using someone else's technique doesn't mean they are originated from the techniques origins. Take kakashi, sharingan users, especially Madara. Madar is using wood release. if he was wearing a mask like tobi was when he fooled everyone about being madara, people would think that current madara was hashirama. So yeah greatly possible and would be awesome if rikudo was uzumaki.

1. DISTANT RELATIVE- we know the senju are directly related to the sage uzimaki are merely senju off spring basically a branch family

2. Senju clan- note only SENJU not BOTH clans which are DIRECTLY his off spring so its impossible for brothers who share the same parents not to be related to the same family

1. No they are not descendants of the Senjus, they were mentioned as blood relatives, not descendants, so the Uzumakis did not stem from the Senju main branch.

2. The Senjus and Uchihas were the branched families that were divided from the Original bloodline of the Sage, which is the Uzumaki bloodline. The progenitor ancestors of both clans, namely the Elder and Younger Sons, were directly related to the Sage, but the dilution of that blood brought about by the schism of the two brothers makes them distant relatives from the parental bloodline of their ancestors' parents: the Sage, who is almost certainly an Uzumaki.

The Bijuu sealing method had variants from the original sealing jutsu of the Sage, since Bijuus were distributed from village to village, but it does not entail, that the Original sealing jutsu did not come from one specific progenitor clan, and since Kurama himself recognized the Uzumaki seals as that of Rikudou Sennin's then it is logical to conclude that the Uzumaki Sealing Jutsu was the original and primordial Sealing Jutsu that the Sage of the Six Paths himself used on the Juubi.

Good stuff for the most part but how would that make him an Uzumaki? Rikudou Sennin is specifically Senju and Uchiha combined. The Uzumaki clan are an afterthought, most likely a combination of Senju + some other clan, a distant relative.

Plus, all Jinchurikis are sealed differently, and the first scan speaks specifically of a ninjutsu, not a fuinjutsu.

I agree. I've always thought that the Sage was an Uzumaki, I mean the fact that the Uzumaki is known for their lifeforce and such while the Senju is known for being the clan of a thousand skills and the Uchiha clan is known for their doujutsu always made me wonder. Everytime I see a thread like this it just blows my mind lol. But like i don't get where people are getting the "Uzumaki is a branched off clan from the Senju!" when that was never stated lol. But nice thread
