theory: Itachi possibly left Oro alive on purpose

... we already know that Itachi and Oro were partners in the Akatsuki thanks to Oro's flashback in which he was fodderized
...Itachi was a spy so he's main goal was to collect information and he possibly knew about Oro's goals including that he wanted to revive the Hokage... and Itachi knew that if Tobi decided to start a war NV stood no chance (he said Tobi is invincible) but the Hokage might be strong enough to stop him and since Oro had the potential to revive them he let that tiny snake escape on perpose and haven't sealed it (he used only amaterasu which is not a sealing tech) so that Sasuke can revive him later...

They weren't partners in Akatsuki.

Sasori and Orochimaru were, Orochimaru just met up with Itachi at some point and attempted to steal his body but Itachi put up too much of a resistence for Orochimaru.

He didn't know about Orochimaru's plans other than the fact that he wanted the sharingan.

And you can't credit Itachi for Orochimaru bringing back the Kages.... I'm sure that he would have had his arms back sooner if Itachi just dropped dead before sealing Orochimaru up the first time. . He could have stollen Sasuke's body and then went to the shrine and used Suigetsu to get his arms back....

It's not that he didn't. But rather that he couldn't.

Simply getting someone caught in a Genjutsu is fodderizing. Besides, Orochimaru was capable of releasing himself from Tsukuyomi using the Kai method. Itachi went on to cut off Orochimaru's arm to prevent this from happening and that's all.

And as far as Orochimaru is concerned; cutting of his hand is like one of the easiest thing since he is much durable than other characters and he leaves himself exposed to most attacks on purpose.


According to your logic;
1) Kisame and Itachi together would get owned by Jiraiya just because they ran away from him. (Itachi said that on purpose. Kisame alone could've owned Jiraiya).
2) Gaara is stronger than Kimimaro
3) Hiruzen is stronger than Tobirama and Hashirama
4) Minato is stronger than Kyuubi
5) Minato is stronger than A
6) The 4th Kazekage is a fodder since he got sealed pretty quickly.
7) Kankuro > Deidara because Deidara was stuck in his puppet

when itachi join akatsuki oro left.
oro's partner was Sasori.

that tiny snake too got burned from amaterasu flames later,so no Itach DID NOT left Oro alive on or off purpose !
