Hello guys, I would like to talk about possible chain of actions which led to Hashirama's death. Please bare with me If it stretch too much. Here I go:

Hashirama's Regeneration short his life span

^^ Hashirama could heal instantly with no seals formed just like his grandaughter Tsunade could do in Byakogou seal.

There is known statement: "The greater power, The greater risk":

You must be registered for see images

^^ As we can see when Tsunade describe her own ability known later as Byakogou while Shizune mention the risk of such incredible technique. The risk is shorting her own life, just Like it could in Hashirama's case.

Hashirama has fought so many battles so clearly it could shorting his life greatly.

Sharing Tailed beasts to other countries

^^Hashirama gave all Tailed beasts besides Kurama as sign of their treaties. First with Five great countries, later with other ones. It was way to stabilize The balance of power according to Hashirama.

^^ Elder Granny Chiyo explained how People tried to contain incredible power of Tailed beasts containing these so called ultimate chakra weapons inside human bodies making shinobi a jinchurki.

You must be registered for see images

^^ The Five First Kages requested and even demanded to recieve Tailed beasts as good balance of power.

^^ First Kazekage suggested possibility of using Bijuu against other to gain his demand

Soon First Great Shinobi War occured which Hashirama wanted to stop by sharing Tailed beasts, but this is what wiki writes about it: .

In short, after getting Tailed beasts The war took even worse direction as Kage created Jinchurki to contain Tailed beasts powers and use it for their need at whim.

^^ After taking look at Hiruzen's flashback where we saw Hashirama last time. It is not farfetched to say that Hashirama has to die in First Shinobi World War.

So in The end it was Hashirama overusing of Healing ability with no seals which keep shorting his life + Getting ganged up by all First Jinchurki at one time in First war. He may stop or deal with them, but after this battle He most likely die.

Here is another interesting remark how Hashirama reacted about Jinchurki word:

You must be registered for see images

^^ Here Hashirama express his worry about Jinchurki word, not specific Juubi Jinchurki. Also in other translation he said: "Jinchurki... it is bad..."

Other two options are short:

- Black Zetsu poisoned him in sleep, doubt he could sneak unoticed when Tobirama is near especially

- Fight againt Madara weaken him so much that he was far from full strength and then maybe too much rengerating side effects + possible attacks of Kage, jinchurki killed him

Summary :
  • First action which led Hashirama to death was overusing and too much depending on Healing ability with no seals which shorted his life
  • Second action which led Hashirama to death was delivering Tailed beasts to other countries
  • The result was getting ganged up by all first jinchurki(maybe poisoned eariler as well) Hashirama was Killed or left at verge of death after dealing with them. Soon later he passed away.

Of course it could be any other reason, but it seems most likely. Also wouldn't it be irony how own power/abilities with no proper mind can kill even yourself.

Thanks for reading !

My theory, Black Zetsu killed him from behind, but your theory is good

Lmao, the best theory of his death is an illness. He'd have just suppressed the Jinchuriki. Btw, did you forget that Mito was the Kyuubi's Jinchuriki ? She'd have stomped alone half of them.

The healing ability, yes, but you stretched it using the Jinchuuriki when evidence suggest they had no role in his death.

I think he neg-diffed all of the jinchūriki and then died from over-exerting his regenerative abilities afterwards.

what if it was healing ability's side efects + wounds from Madara's battle + Jinchurki/Kages ganging on him while the world war shinobi lasted... I think it would kill him

No. Where does it state he had wounds left from Madara's battle? Where does it state he was ganged by the five Kage and Jinchuuriki?

Interesting. But I disagree. The true nature of hashirama's healing ability was never explained. Just because it is similar to tsunade's does not make it the same thing. Obito is one such example, both he and madara posses hashirama's healing power yet there has been no indication of obito's life span shortening.

Another thing I disagree with are jinchuriki killing hashirama. Prior to naruto there were only ever 2 Perfect jinchuriki ever ( yagura and bee). As we all know perfect jinchuriki are stronger than bijuu and imperfect jinchuriki. An example of this is naruto BM naruto (without the kurama avatar) is far stronger than his version 2 form. Given this, I don't think someone with hashirama's overwhelming power will be defeated by imperfect jinchuriki that far weaker shinobi from the akatsuki were able to easily subdue.

The only way for hashirama to have been killed that I agree with is poisoning or disease.

True, but if he was outnumbered, contstantly fighting running out low on chakra, possible even clashed with All First Kages then First Jinchurki were unleashed on him and maybe even attacked from behind ?

I am sure it would takes him out.

Another possibility is that he just run out chakra and then got poisoned by someone

Madara himself said that Tsunade and Hashirama posse the same restoring ability, but Hashirama was on a different scale. It could mean they have the same affects.

Obito never had Hashirama's healing ability.

Hashirama was said to have all the Bijuu under his control.

Where is the evidence? No where in the Manga said he was killed in battle, or by poisoning or disease.

There is nothing to suggest that the kage of hashirama's time were any stronger than the current kage. edo madara didn't even need half of his power to defeat the gokage it is reasonable to say that hashirama can replicate the same feat agains the 4 kage of his time.

Edo hashirama who was weaker than his form while alive was easily able to subdue a mature juubi. Even the juubi's first form was not affected in the slightest by the power of the strongest bijuu(kurama and his jinchuriki) yet you think that hashirama won't be able to easily subdue imperfect jinchuriki?

Manga evidence does support that use of regeneration shortens lifespan. As an active partipant in the First Shinobi World War AND a non-jinchuriki who obviously had significant interaction with hostile bijuu (how else would he come into possession of them?), it makes sense that he sustained an overwhelming number of injuries.

I agree that, by healing himself, he hastened his own death. Nice theory.

So Madara indirectly killed him off by shortening his life span?

I think it's possible

Something being similar does not mean it is the same thing. There is no conclusive evidence that hashirama's healing ability shortens his life span.

Obito did have hashiram's healing ability. Madara acquired it after obtaining hashirama's cells. The same goes for obito

Evidence? There is no evidence regarding the nature of hashirama's death. I never stated there was, what I did state was that for me poisoning or illness seemed the most likely. As for the manga saying he was killed in battle, I don't think anything was said about that either. The only thing I remember reading somewhere is he died during the first war, which naturally makes people assume he died in battle.

Ummmmm. No. :| @UzumakiSama sums it up best. It makes more sense for his healing ability to kill him.

A theory that I came up with and have believed in for a while now. Are you ready to have your minds blown?

It doesn't matter how he died. He could have died from eating bad meat just as easily as dying from battles and cells blah blah blah. End of the day no one truly gives a ****. At least those who have something better to do.

Shock shock horror. Get over it nerds.
