plausible, if they were edo tensei'd. these are just animated corpses via chakra rods. everytime they spoke-it was nagato speaking.

This... unless Nagato used the Seventh Path to Control them (life and death), then it would be just plausible.

Can you prove that? If he was powerful enough to destroy the Leaf in seconds I'm sure he could achieve peace without the Kyuubi. Plus the Akatsuki didn't have the Eight Tail's yet.

Did you really think he went there to kill Naruto before taking Kurama? That would go against the entire purpose of the Akatsuki at that point in time.

I really enjoyed your post. I did notice such gesture but never put myself into the task of commenting it, the dummies used by Nagato may personify the deities of each of his paths through every corpse used. they might very well not have a set "will" (instead of personality) but their bodies in movement resemble much of how they used to move in life as a corporal action span, which appears almost as if they moved on and off their own sake.
