[Theory] Theory about the 6 Paths of Pain

Many people argue that the Six Paths are just corpses. I agree to a certain extent. Yes they are dead BUT their personality and mind are still intact. You ask how can a dead person have a personality much less think. Look at the Edo Tensei. We all know logic doesn't apply to Naruto.

Anyway. My theory is that the Six Paths can control their own movements, have their own thought, and so own.

I was looking back over the Manga to see if their were any pages that support my claim. This one does. When Naruto throws the Rasen Shuriken. We see Animal Path freeze in what I believe is fear. And Human Path has to physically pull her out of the way.

If Nagato has full control over them, then way didn't he just make her jump out of the way like the rest of them?

So I believe that Nagato can control them. When he needs to. But they can also move without his control. In the Naruto vs the six paths fight I think the paths were moving own their own accord, all except for Deva Path (Pain) I believe Nagato directly controls this one through out the whole fight.

This is my first Theory that I have shared. I respect constructive criticism

She probably just wouldn't have made the jump, considering that she was the shortest one of them, and was located exactly in the middle of the attack. The Chikushōdō was more valuable in the fight than the Ningendō, since it was taking care of the summons, so Pein made the Ningendō sacrifice itself in order to save the other path.

Of course though, this was just a way for Kishi to allow Naruto to win via plot, by all logic, the Chikushōdō should have been able to avoid it, since even the Gakidō could pull it off lmao.

What I'm saying is that they are aware, But Nagato can take control of them to an extent. Like using them as messengers. Kind of like Kabuto did with Mu

I get where you are coming from but the 6 paths of pain and edo tensei are completely different, edo brings back a persons soul and creates a body for them to move with all of their previous strength and chakra while the 6 paths are corpses with chakra rods using Nagato's chakra to use jutsu and movement, I'm not sure about why animal path had to be pulled away but I guess the others have faster reactions which is why this path uses summons because it's body is physically slower than all the other corpses Nagato uses. Just my thoughts, might be wrong and might be right

Because Kabuto Edo Tensei'ed them. You can control the amount of will power you let the victim have when you use Edo Tensei. Kabuto took away their willpower so basically they were just empty husk controlled by Edo Tensei

but those corpses Nagato used had no free will, so how do they have their own personalities if they are dead bodies?

Can you prove they have no personalities? Lifeless bodies don't freeze in fear. Can you explain why Human path had to psychically pull Animal path out of the way?

human path is not useful for capturing naruto. don't forget, nagato was trying to capture naruto and talk to him, not kill him

Can you prove that? If he was powerful enough to destroy the Leaf in seconds I'm sure he could achieve peace without the Kyuubi. Plus the Akatsuki didn't have the Eight Tail's yet.
