no madara says that only hashirama can beat him because hashirama can still beat him. madaras trump card is perfect susano which means that he holds it in higher regard than his rinnegan and wood release. basically perfect susano>all of madaras other techniques. hashirama beat perfect susano before which means that he can still beat madara.
