I believe that Hashirama had a power we haven't seen yet. Don't forget the 9 tails was their. So maybe somewhere along the line Kurama might tell Naruto what happened. Remember Kurama has been around since the time of the Sage of the 6 Paths, so he knows alot more then anyone else does. I wouldn't be surprised if the 9 tails becomes Naruto's new teacher.

ALSO MADARA VS HASHIRAMA

Only proof of Hashirama's power is Madar's words, he can mean:
1. Hashirama can still beat him in his edo form. (Not so likely)
2. Hashirama is the only one who has a chance of beating him, which all the five Kage together can not.

Either way Hashirama is more powerful that current five Kage put together.

Plus try to disprove this logic:

Hashi > EMS Madara+ Kurama
Hashi >> EMS Madara
Edo Hashi >> Edo EMS Madara
Edo Hashi + Implanted MS >= Edo EMS/Rinne Madara + Hashi cells

So in all fair comparisons Hashirama wins, i dont think Hashi fanboys wld want more than that.
