When you smoke that thing, do you know where it comes from? the number of people involved in the cartel? (demand and supply) the fight for dominance that arises to have a control over the selling weed business in a certain area? Do you know how many people get shot and killed because you want to smoke weed?
Same with other drugs as well. A lot of talented youth that otherwise could be a lot more productive succomb to a life of shit due to drugs as well (more prominent in poorer countries).
Saying a crime is worse than another is just simple minded thinking. We never see the complete picture but always one crime in seclusion.

That exact argument could be made with anything, including the clothes you wear and the trash you throw out.
Do you know how many kids suffer in sweatshops creating the products you use and buy daily?
Do you know how many animals suffer from you throwing out your garbage?
Do you know how much of your waste is dumped into other countries, causing cancer and all manner of diseases to the inhabitants?
Negligence, the unwillingness to prevent a crime, is also considered a crime.
So by your logic, you are promoting crime.
....and like you said, saying a crime is worse than another is just simple minded thinking, so you're just as bad as any other criminal out there.
What's simple minded is having a black and white notion of things.
Someone stealing a pack of gum should not merit the same punishment as someone systematically murdering people.

Clothes are a basic human necessity. Drugs are not.
Do you know why those kids work in those sweatshops? They need Money to LIVE. The drugs and cartels I was talking about are used to make excess money for luxury.

That's why there is no point in debating. I never said anything about punishments. I just said it is pointless to compare what crime is worst. We are not deciding how severe the punishments for different crimes should be.
I said a crime is a crime and should be looked at seriously no matter how big or small. Sure stealing a pack of gums is not severe enough for you but these small things grow in the future so that the person growing up thinks its fine if I pick up some jewellery from someone its not like I am killing them or anything. Later on he will go and say lets rob a store its not like I will kill the owner or anything.
I know the world is not black and white but we can at least try to lighten the gray that plagues this world instead of darkening it.

Then you would have to argue which drugs are bad drugs and which are good ones some people need them. Pertaining to weed you could grow your own illegally. Everyones different whats necessary for some are not necessary for others. There are laws in place to protect the environment depending when you live so violating them can be considered a crime. You'd have to be more specific
