*Fingernails broken, blood dripping from fingers*

Genma: He used his shadow clone as bait and hid below, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. Even when he was getting pounded into the ground, he never gave up hope, never stopped believing in his ability to win. The power to believe in oneself...that became the power to change destiny! And he's a natural to boot.....

*Naruto slowly walks up to Neji who is laying on the ground, unable to move, looks him straight in the eyes*

Neji: You used your shadow clones, the jutsu you're good at! I was careless!

Naruto: For the record.....I've failed the graduation exam three years in a row. Because there was this one jutsu that I always failed at, that no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't master...............................my clones were pathetic.......that's right....clone jutsu, was the jutsu I failed at...

Neji: O_O

Naruto: So stop whining about useless crap like destiny and whatnot....and how it can't be changed! Because unlike me.....you're not a failure...

Genma: Hmm....The winner! Uzumaki Naruto!

the fight was rigged but at the time i was cheering for naruto now i see how rigged it was + he was alos a jerk to neji about his dad dyign really what if neji said who cares? about jman dying
Lol I think that was one time that naruto was most insensitive about someone else's pain, but Neji kinda needed it so that he could see that shouldn't blame fate and start labeling others as weak.

Thats when he said that if someone like naruto could become powerful, then think about how much a genius like Neji could too. That's when i was like, Neji is gonna be so powerful after this. X)

Part 2 comes around and we see hardly anything impressive from him -.-

Nothing is rigged, it's a story. Neji wasn't as good as he was back then.
so after all the critical blows he lands on naruto who isnt entirley physically strong at the time almost blacked out and he gets one hit to the jaw and knocked out + the fact he won using kyuubi power not rigged

i assume after the upper cut if neji thought back to his father

got mad and somehow got up through that and ko naruot some would say that was BS

Funny thing to say, since it was the first battle, where Naruto was able to control and use the kuybis chakra, and now he got it completely mastered, and is fighting madara.
Also note how similar the situation of his opponent is. Both Neji and Madara were arrogant, and they thought nothing of Naruot (of course Neji is different know). They were also seemed to be far above Naruto, and that he had no chance of victory. Now that could lead to even further foreshadowing. If Neji was both talented and arrogant like Madara, is his reason for his hatred the same?! Could part of Madara's hate be because Izuna was killed by Senju, and then his clan turned their backs on him by signing a pact with and choosing a Senju to lead the pact?!

Well played Kishi or well played irony ^.^

I don't doubt it in the slightest that it is indeed Kishimotos doing! If there was an Oscar for best story, art and writing in a manga, he'd get it, no question about it!
