Alrighty, what do you know of Dokkodo?
Dokkodo, also known as the alone way, is the use of Senjutsu through the sword, we impart our sword with senjutsu using the Dokkodo mode to do so, which emcompasses the user in a shroud of chakra and giving the user various markings.

Senjutsu utilised in this way through the sword when striking an opponent will cause the wound to draw in Natural energy, this will cause them to petrify after 3 turns if left untreated.

The second usage is that it can corrode techniques, the natural energy can invade the weakpoint of a technique neutralising it,

Ronin and Samurai can use Dokkodo techs without having the mode, and will have it passively without buffs

Once the mode is fnished for a regular user they will sustain 20% torso damage and then 10% after each use

The Dokkodo mode lasts 8 turns

Alright, not sure on what you'll be placing the mode, but assuming it's not on a based sword user, we shall start with the mode itself.

Analyse it and let me know of any questions

( Dokkōdō ) - The Alone Way
Type: Mode
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 40 ( -10 per turn )
Damage: N/A ( +30/40 to Kenjutsu/Taijutsu )
Description: By taking a stance and channeling copious amounts of chakra while drawing in natural energy into their blade, the user enters a swordsmen state known as Dokkodo or the Alone Way. The chakra creates several markings across the user's lower jaw and neck, extending down both arms to fully cover the forearms and arms in scale-like platings as a chakra shroud that grants a large Vizard-like mask across their faces. The general appearance differs from user to user but these traits are shared. After activation, the user gains access to the exclusive art of Senjutsu utilized via Kenjutsu in two unique forms. The first form allows the user's techniques to carry the ability to cause a foe to become petrified 3 turns after being cut, the wound drawing in natural energy and prevents passive healing until healed by outside sources or the target is petrified, whichever comes sooner. The second form allows for techniques to carry the ability to corrode techniques and targets resistances, eating away at natural defenses when striking targets to weaken and prevent natural damage resistances. Should targets be hit by the corrosive Senkenjutsu, they will take the listed damage of the technique. In addition to this, when techniques land, the amount of chakra spent will be deducted from the object's damage resistance capabilities to cause it to plummet ( i.e. if an A rank Kenjutsu was used and lands and the target can shave 20 damage, 15 ( half of 30 chakra ) of it will be removed to leave 5 Damage Shaving ). Should their damage resistance drop to 0, it will remain there until being healed by outside sources.
Note: Can only be used 3 times each battle, each use lasting up to 8 turns. After ending, the user cannot use A rank and above physical techniques ( Tai/Ken, Jutsu with extended/detailed physical movements, etc ) for two turns and the effects of the 20% Torso Health drawbacks trigger. Each subsequent use adds 10% to the Torso Health drawbacks.
Note: Samurai and Ronin are capable of using Dokkodo techniques without entering the state though if they do, they experience a 10 damage increase compared to shinobi using the mode.

The technique for the most part states what I have already mentioned, what i left out was its ability to shave away resistance via, half the amount of chakra which was used in our technique will go towards shaving away the resistance of the object

My question here is mainly regarding the buffs of the form

- +30/40 to Kenjutsu/Taijutsu - Does this mean that Kenjutsu recieves a +30 buff and Tai a +40 respectively?

- in certain parts of the description (not in the technique) but the rules for Dokkodo itself, it references a speed boost, I asked about this and Mirai told me that it gets a speed boost of x3, can you confirm this please?

Indeed on the tai/ken question, and not as far as I am aware in regards to the speed boost value. It shouldn't logically as you're not empowering your body in the same sense of SM or other modes imo. There is however a note on the Mode thread itself that can make it seem so, and with the firs technique it pushes towards there being a speed boost as well. x3 Should be the value if it were to have one to match that of the Samurai/Ronin specific modes, but I would suggest you get an official confirmation in the q&a.

Anyways, let's kick things off.

( Chiratsuki Kaihi ) - Flicker Evasion
Type: Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: B
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: N/A
Damage: N/A
Description: A skill usable by all Dokkodo users to move at high speeds to dodge, attack, or defend from techniques. The ability pertains to movement on the battlefield, meaning running, walking, jumping, dashing, etc. This allows the user to move at max speed to avoid obstacles or to attack with great speed.
Note: Can only be used with Dokkodo active. Ronin and Samurai are capable of utilizing outside of the mode but once per turn.

( Dokkōdō: Kakusu Shinjitsu ) - The Alone Way: Hidden Truths
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: B - S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 20 - 40
Damage: 40 - 80
Description: This technique is comparable to the Samurai Saber Technique in both its concept and execution. By channeling Senjutsu into the blade, the user becomes capable of creating crescents of natural energy sharpened to slice through metal and bone effortlessly. These crescents are capable of combating equal ranked Elemental Ninjutsu. Unlike Samurai Saber Technique, however, these cannot create chakra weapons to attack with, instead just creating slashes and strikes following the user's strike motion. They crescents can carry the effects of either form of Senkenjutsu.

Flicker evasion - fairly standard, the user can use the technique to instantly move at his max speed in a blur, this can be used to close distance to a target or used to evade an incoming technique within reason, if something is still much faster than you are then this is not a cure all end all solution.

The Alone Way - Hidden Truths - the user channels Senjutsu into the blade allowing the user to create crescents created of natural energy which is neutral to all elements of equal rank, these crescents carry the standard effects of Dokkodo which is if the target is hit, they will need to be healed by ab outside source or the the wound will eventually turn them to stone by drawing in natural energy over 3 turns, this technique will also take away chakra half of its rank away from the adversaries damage shaving capability

Alrighty, next set.

( Dokkōdō: Kendangan ) - The Alone Way: Sword Bullet
Type: Offensive/Defensive
Rank: B - S
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra: 20 - 40
Damage: 40 - 80
Description: The user channels Senjutsu chakra to his sword, focusing it into the hilt of the weapon. With this chakra coalescing to form a Senjutsu chakra replica of the hilt, the user causes it to fire off at the target quickly. This was created to disarm opponents by targeting their hands and wrists to strike quickly and cause them to lose grip of their weapon. If successful, this causes the opponent to be unable to utilize their hands for two turns. The user can substitute the chakra hilt for a replica of their sword for higher damage, disabling the use of the targetted limb for twice as long as well.
Note: Can only be used with Dokkodo active. Ronin and Samurai are capable of utilizing outside of the mode.
Note: Sword Replica is an S rank ability and creates up to 5 replicas to send at targets. Can only be done 3 times in total.

( Dokkōdō: Shiraha Nagashi ) - The Alone Way: White Blade Flow
Type: Defensive
Rank: A - S
Range: Short
Chakra: 30 - 40
Damage: N/A
Description: After entering Dakkodo, the user aims at incoming targets and slashes at the target with a Senjutsu enhanced melee attack. When the sword makes contact with the target, the released chakra quickly corrodes through the obstacle, weakening by exposing the obstacle's "shatter point". This is a point on the technique that the Senjutsu compromises, causing it to shatter in a glow of white glass-like shards, lending to the technique's name. It is capable of destroying solids and liquids of equal chakra or lower while dispersing energy as well.
Note: Can only be used with Dakkodo active. Ronin and Samurai are capable of utilizing outside of the mode.

The Alone Way - Sword Bullet - I was originally a bit confused when i was looking at this skill, and i have read it many times prior to this.. to my understand senjutsu is channelled to the hilt which you create a senjutsu chakra replica of the hilt, I imagine this to be like a cloak of senjutsu chakra layeres over the original Hilt which then shoots at the opponent, this can be used to disarm and the target takes damage and loses certain uses of the hands for two turns if cloaking the entire sword and not just the hilt the effects are amplified further and its not limites to just hands but a targetted limb such as a leg or entire arm?

Questions - would this prevent usage of hand-seals and such if both hands were to be struck?

The Alone Way - While Blade Flow - Fairly simple this one, using senjutsu we target either a solid or liquid of equal chakra value, or lower if it is energy based such as fire or lightning etc, upon doing so it causes the technique to corrode and collapse, this happens at a swift pace and is akin to shattering glass.

Correct on your assessment. And it would prevent hand seals if just one hand is struck in most cases. Like very few characters have the ability to perform one handed seals. Top of my head only Sasuke and Minato.

And last two, which are my personal favourites. Ask away on the second one lmao, cause I know it has a bunch of stuff going on with it.

( Dokkōdō: Gatotsu ) - The Alone Way: Fang Point
Type: Offensive/Defensive/Supplementary
Rank: A - S
Range: Short - Long
Chakra: 30 - 40
Damage: 60 - 80
Description: The user gathers senjutsu around his sword, creating an extended aura around it that glows a cyan color as the scales around the user's arm extends to the blade. This gives it a harsher texture and weighs the blade, augmenting it with a unique effect. Due to the scales and Senjutsu empowering the blade, strikes that land cover a wider surface and applies the corrosive Senjutsu's effects, deteriorating anything it comes into contact with including sealing scripts and anything else that can interact with Senjutsu. This can even allow him to destroy advanced seals like the Flying Thunder God seal, the Shinigami, and others. In addition to this, should foes be struck with it then their damage resistance will drop by 15 or 20, depending on the rank of this technique used. They will also take damage appropriate to the rank used.
Note: Can only be used with Dakkodo active. Ronin and Samurai can only use if they have Dakkodo as their mode.

( Dokkōdō: Tenmetsu Hikari ) – The Alone Way: Blinding Light
Type: Supplementary
Rank: S
Range: Short
Chakra: 40 ( -10 per turn )
Damage: N/A
Description: By using the chakra shroud granted from the Dakkodo technique, the user causes the built up chakra in the arms and torso to dissipate and spread through the field in a bright flood instantly. By spiking the chakra, the user causes multiple effects, the first of which being that the chakra burns a bright color, effectively blinding anyone present via sight and chakra sensory. Secondly, the user causes the chakra around the field to grow higher and denser, creating a box of sorts around the field to prevent escape or retreat. Third, the user can make use of the chakra flooding the field around short-range of himself to create sword replicas to fight with, allowing him to either send various arcs and blades to the target or create a replica of himself 5 meters away from the target to use other Kenjutsu based attacks. Because the sword is the catalyst for these effects, the effects last as long as the user maintains hold on the blade. If his hold on the blade ends, this technique and Dakkodo will be forcibly ended and the drawbacks triggered early.
Note: Lasts 4 turns or when the user lets the sword go, whichever is shorter. Can only be used 3 times.

( Dokkōdō: Gatotsu ) - The Alone Way: Fang Point - Another simple one, using Senjutsu you cloak your blade, this gives it more heft (weight) and the senjutsu chakra cloak goes up to mid range extending the range of the blade, it mentions increasing the surface area of attacks which implies the blade also widens, whiles staying sharp you can consider it the difference between going from a thin Katana to suddenly using a something like a Bastard sword.. This technique reminds me of a move from Shaman King tbh..

The technique is capable of destroying high level seals as well as other things, this technique will also cause your opponents damage resistance to drop, depending on the level of the technique, fairly simple all round

Question - It says we are capable of destroying high level seals, does this mean that we destroy them in a confrontation and can use our damage to over ride the seal? I was informed most sealing jutsu's confrontations are done in a chakra Vs chakra basis, this technique doing what it does im guess we don't go by that concept

That being the case would it also destroy already applied seals, for example seal's on my opponents body that are there for specific reasons?

Question - Can you also tell me what other things it is capable of destroying, it may just be fluff text but if it has any direct mechanical interactions I would like to know :)

( Dokkōdō: Tenmetsu Hikari ) – The Alone Way: Blinding Light - This one I understood quite well I think, it is essentially the user dissipating the built up chakra/energy within him across the field creating a kind of flash bang, both one designed for the eyes and senses of chakra sensory, this is likely because the spike of chakra is too overwhelming, similar to someone wearing infrared goggles and being in a sauna where there is nothing but heat, they would end up seeing nothing.

The energy spreads outwards from the user, creating a box of chakra, very similar to a fuuin jutsu seal I imagine, like the one the kages used against the juubi, whiles inside the box the enemy is unable to escape unless they directly overpower the seal.

The area is filled with the users chakra which in turn he is able to utilize, within short range of himself he can directly replicate a sword which can be used as such, I would guess this sword can be used like a regular sword for his techniques, I see it as also being able to use these replica's without necessarily having to hold them and instead sending them directly to attack the opponent, it mentions arc's which im assuming means much like a previous technique I can use the chakra in the area to directly send out crescents/arcs of senjutsu chakra at my opponent, it is also possible to create a replica of myself using this energy which i can create short range of my opponent, which can perform kenjutsu techniques, my guess this includes Dokkodo techniques since the energy the clone is very made of is senjutsu which is the basis of dokkodo.

Lastly, for all of the above to continue to exist the user must keep hold of the blade he originally used the technique with, otherwise the technique will fail and the entire mode will end early, I imagine this is because all the senjutsu chakra the user had was initially dispelled to create the area and ability and the only thing keeping it going is the senjutsu chakra within the sword, dropping the sword would break the connection and hence the jutsu. Providing the sword is kept during the entire 4 turns, no drawbacks will be felt.

Despite the technique saying N/A with damage, I am guessing this is because the actual technique is the creation of the zone lets call it, where as the things I can do within the zone such as blade replica's and arcs of senjutsu, these would all be of the appropriate rank and damage?

It would follow what is written in the technique. It's not a matter of damage per se, as the seal referenced costs 100 chakra for instance. A good metric would be to go by the rank in general, where you can use the S rank version for higher ranked seals/adv fuin, whereas the A rank for normal ones. I would also confirm this in Q&A since this was made before the new ruling came into play.

As for things that can interact with Senjutsu, it's a bit more niche and would depend on the technique itself. But some stuff YY stuff would be prime candidates for that, or for instance stuff from Enoichan CC.

Regarding the N/A, it would depend on what technique you are using it with, as you would create replicas that perform other Kenjutsu attacks.

Ah I See, thank you for clearing that up,

Ye I had a feeling that might be the case, which means the area is another medium for performing the attacks without necessarily needing to be the one performing the actions
