Sasuke Uchiha meditates in the Waterfall of truth.
War Arc/Taka

Could he defeat himself?
Would he leave the waterfall changed for the better or worse? Or would he give up and ignore it?

I think his inner self would probably be sensitive or start speaking like he did on chapter 698-699. Probably bringing up who Naruto and Sakura are to him and his insecurities.

Ignore this unless you get the reference:

Sasuke would probably scream "You're not me" and then i'd turn into a shadow and then he'd probably defeat it and get a Persona named Susanoo-no-Mikoto.

Scenario 2: You Fav approaches the waterfall of Truth.

Do they come out changed or the same? Or do they lose?

He'd put his shadow self into solo glance, GG.

This is war arc Sasuke. Not his Rinnegan counterpart.

I dont think he regrets not killing Naruto. Something like that wouldn't be in the dark corners of his heart. His decisions or his inferiority towards itachi would probably be there.

And you're not specifying which Sasuke you're referring to. War arc or Taka.

That's pretty interesting to think about. Maybe he'd end up undergoing something similar to what happened in his final battle with Naruto.

With my fave, Lol, no idea. He's kinda one-dimensional :shy:

The waterfall of truth isn't always evil.

It's your inner self. Something you're always suppressing or ignoring. Your own little the elephant in the room.

The Waterfall of Truth is very Zen, seeing your nature, accepting the dark and light. Naruto had enough compassion to understand it, as did Bee. I wouldn't be confident that Sasuke could; he was an emotional train wreck with limited compassion and limitless jealousy, resentment, anger, and grief. I'm not sure he could accept what he saw in the mirror, even if it was a hidden good side to him.

I agree. It took him losing an arm in order to be honest.

I think Taka Sasuke would probably succumb to his inner demons. He was too unstable at the time (giving zero f*cks and trying to kill everyone). I don't think he would be able to TnJ himself. He would probably just go for the kill.
My favorite: Welp. I personally don't know... I think Pain would leave even more absorbed in revenge and "justice" but Nagato would come out victorious...

He'll embrace it. The way it should be. That Naruto part defeating Dark Naruto was cringe worthy and vomit inducing.

Embrace what, exactly? everything he said in chapter 698-699?

P.S

If something like that made you want to vomit you should seek help or grow some balls.

Sorry, the whole 5 year old 'Goodness in every one and everything Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii' is not my idea of a decent character. Embracing your dark side is the way to go.

That? This is a shonen manga. It was bound to happen.

@Red and Blue

It's like you're 12....

I meant what do you think the type of Sasuke he would see in the waterfall?

You totally proved me wrong. Improve your taste if a character as cheap as Naruto managed to thaw your heart.

A darker, more unrestrained version.

I would imagine Sasuke and Dark Sasuke talking about how dark and edgy they are.

Eventually Sasuke would leave the waterfall even more edgy. He'd probably talk in 1-2 word sentences and kill people who get in his way.

Or he'd turn into someone like Madara except more intense and fear-mongering.

That is not what embracing your dark side means. It means to accept the Yin of your personality as Buddhist philosophy goes. It's all about balance. No person is inherently good. Even the thought is laughable.

He didn't need to embrace his dark side, he already was dark. He needed to find balance between the light and dark. It's not very Buddhist to be dark, accept your dark side more, then continue causing chaos.
