As promised, I'm posting two chapters.
Sakura continued to follow Sasuke through the trees, but she was tired. They had been running almost all night, only stopping occasionally for a quick rest. On top of that, it was almost noon and she had barely eaten since the night before. She was almost utterly exhausted, but wasn't going to stop.
Sakura: *thinking* I can't seem weak! I don't want Sasuke to regret his decision of bringing me.
She pushed herself to keep up with Sasuke. She jumped on a branch she thought was sturdy but it gave way and broke under her weight.
Sakura: Eep!
Instead of falling, she quickly found a lower branch and pushed off it, putting herself back up behind Sasuke. Unknown to Sakura, he had quickly glanced back at her to make sure she was alright when he heard her squeak.
...
Naruto heard a very faint distant cry, like someone surprised. He began jumping through the trees faster than before.
Naruto: *thinking* They must be up ahead! I can't lose them!
He yelled out in desperation.
Naruto: Sasuke!
...
???: Kabuto, it seems they're taking a while to bring him to me...
Kabuto: Would you like me to find him myself?
???: Yes...
Kabuto: *thinking* It seems he's getting impatient... Then again, it shouldn't be taking them this long.
Kabuto stepped out of the room and continued down the hall. He climbed out of the hideout and headed towards the Hidden Leaf Village.
...
While he had been chasing Sasuke and Sakura, Naruto had regained a bit of his chakra.
Naruto: Shadow Clone Jutsu!
Four other Naruto's appeared in front of him.
Naruto: Alright, everybody spread out and search for Sasuke and Sakura!
Other Narutos: Yeah!
They all immediately turned in different directions and disappeared. Meanwhile, Naruto's yelling had not gone unnoticed by Sakura.
Sakura: Did you hear that? It sounded like Naruto.
Sasuke: Heh... So the idiot seriously made it this far...
Sakura had to laugh a little, it was a little surprising that Naruto had been able to follow them this far. Suddenly, a kunai whistled by Sakura's ear.
Sakura: *thinking* Huh?
She turned around to see another kunai flying towards Sasuke.
Sakura: Sasuke, look out!
He turned around just in time to dodge to the side.
Sasuke: What the?
Naruto suddenly appeared from behind one of the trees behind.
Naruto: You guys better stop!
He was soon joined by four other Naruto's. One of the clones grabbed the original while the others disappeared in a puff of smoke. The clone threw Naruto at Sasuke, who was still jumping up ahead with Sakura, before disappearing. Naruto flew forward and punched Sasuke to the ground. He stared at Sasuke with rage and sadness, while Sakura, unsure what to do, simply watched.
Naruto: Don't you realize that Orochimaru is just going to use you?
He jumped down from the tree to stand at eye level with Sasuke, who didn't respond.
Naruto: Don't you even care about the friends you left behind?
Naruto was almost screaming and again Sasuke was unresponsive. He simply looked at his team mate, the look on his face saying "Does it look like I care?"
Naruto: Dammit, Sasuke! Wake up!
He punched Sasuke in the face again, only this time he spat out a little blood.
Naruto: Answer me!
Sakura watched anxiously as Naruto glared at Sasuke. Though she had been cold when Naruto tried to talk to her before, now she was only worried.
Sakura: *thinking* Oh god, what can I do? Why is it that when ever they're fighting, all I can do is watch by the sidelines?
Then Sasuke finally said something.
Sasuke: You're weak.
Naruto: Huh?
Sasuke: You're a weak idiot! Friends don't help you become strong, hatred helps you become strong!
Naruto: Hmph. Fight me and we'll see if you're right.
Sakura: *thinking* Oh no, not again!
Sakura was now standing behind a tree. She remembered when the two had fought on the roof of the hospital.
Sakura:*thinking* If Kakashi-sensei hadn't stepped in, they would've killed each other. But Kakashi-sensei isn't here this time and I can't try stop them. If I did, then Sasuke probably wouldn't trust me anymore. I'll just have to let them settle this themselves.
She was concerned for Sasuke, they still had to continue their journey.
Sasuke: I'll prove to you just how weak you are!
He threw a few punches and Naruto blocked them. Naruto kicked but was blocked, then he threw a few punches. On the last punch, Sasuke grabbed his fist then started spinning him around before throwing him at a tree.
Naruto: Aaaah! Oof!
He hit the tree with thud then disappeared.
Sasuke: *thinking* A shadow clone?
Sasuke searched for the real Naruto, only to find him flying towards him.
Naruto: Over here!
He reached to throw a punch, only to have Sasuke dodge it then elbow him in the back to the ground.
Naruto: Ack!
Sasuke: See? I don't even need to use the Sharingan to defeat you!
Naruto smiled.
Naruto: Don't get cocky, I'm only getting started!
