I realized my chapters are kinda short, so I'm gonna try and make this one longer 
*a couple seconds earlier*
Sakura had moved from behind her tree to watch the boys fight more closely. She noticed that they had stopped fighting and appeared to be talking. Her gaze wondered behind the boys, where there was a huge river. Her eyes followed the path of the river until it dropped off into a waterfall. On either side of the waterfall, there was a giant statue.
Sakura: *thinking* I know what this is! This is the Valley of the End, where the 1st Hokage apparently fought Madara Uchiha.
CRASH
She quickly diverted her gaze back to the boys.
Sakura: *thinking* What was that?!
Sasuke had sent Naruto flying and the crash was actually the sound of him hitting the water.
Sakura: *whisper* I wonder if he's alright...
Inner Sakura: CHA! Go Sasuke! Who cares about that Naruto idiot!
Naruto was just starting to stand up again when Sasuke kicked him up into the air.
Sasuke: Lions Barrage!
BAM
Naruto: Oof!
SPLASH
Naruto could see the surface of the water slowly getting farther away as he tried to make his limbs move. He stopped for a second when he felt a slight tugging in the current.
Naruto: *thinking* Wha-?
Sakura: Oh my god! He's gonna go over the edge!
Just as Naruto resurfaced gasping for breath, he turned to face the waterfall after hearing Sakura shout. Only one word was on Naruto's mind.
Naruto: Sh*t!
He hadn't completely recovered from Sasuke's attack yet, so he couldn't muster the strength to pull himself out of the water. He was feet from the edge now.
Naruto: *thinking* Here goes...
He only caught the slightest glance at the pool so far below him before squeezing his eyes shut. He was seemingly weightless as he fell over the edge. He plummeted for several seconds before finally hitting the water below.
CRASH
The force of the impact knocked him unconscious.

When Sasuke saw Naruto go over the waterfall, he went to the edge and looked over. He looked back at Sakura, motioning for her to follow before turning and running down the side of the cliff. Sakura ran forward an stood, looking over the edge.
Sakura: *thinking* Wow, that's really far... Could Naruto have survived that?
She focused her chakra in her feet before running down the cliff face, next to the waterfall. On the other side of the pool there was a forest that seemed to stretch on forever.
Sakura: I'll wait in there.
Sasuke was already standing on the pool, looking for Naruto. He saw Sakura crossing the pool, heading towards the forest.
Sasuke: *thinking* Good, she'll stay out of the way over there.
*Inside Naruto*
??: You're weak...
Naruto was floating face up, unconscious, in what looked like a large sewer. In front of him was a huge cell, holding back a creature of pure hatred and malice.
??: But I am forced to help you because of this accursed seal, damn you, Minato... Alright kit, I'll give you some of my power...
...
Sasuke watched as strange orange bubbles began covering Naruto's unconscious form. Adding to the strangeness, the bubbles were coming out of Naruto's body.
Sasuke: What the hell?!
The bubbles were joining together and had almost completely covered him. As they reached his neck, they seemed to lift him into a standing positing and his eyes snapped open, blood red. He fell to his hands and stood on all fours and was now completely covered in the strange orange substance. It had formed two long ears on his head and a tail, giving him the appearance of an orange fox.
Naruto: I won't let him take you away!
He then flew at Sasuke with amazing speed, closing the distance between them in just a few strides. Sasuke quickly jumped to the side, barely avoiding Naruto's strike and Naruto turned to face him.
Sasuke: *thinking* Where did all this speed come from?!
Looking more closely at his face, Sasuke could that the whisker-like marks on Naruto's face had deepened still, making him look even more like an animal. Sakura was still watching from the trees and she could see that the water seemed to recede away from Naruto, like there was a strong wind coming off of him.
Sakura: *thinking* What happened to him?
Naruto jumped at Sasuke and was attacked. At some point during the battle, Sasuke had developed the third black dot of the sharingan, but even then he had a hard a time keeping up. He retreated a little, so he could rest for a couple of seconds.
Sasuke: *thinking* I can predict his movements, but it's like the orange 'cloak' has a mind of his own...
Sasuke dodged yet another punch, but this time an orange claw extended and connected with his face. Sasuke flew backwards, grasping his face in pain. Sakura gasped and her hands held her own face, imagining his pain.
Sasuke: Arg!
He stood and looked at Naruto.
Sasuke: Why would you go so far for me?
The expression of hatred on Naruto's face softened at the question and he hesitated before answering.
Naruto:... Because... You're the only person that I've had a real bond with... I've never had a family but I think this is what it must feel like to have a brother... That's why I have to save you, I have to bring you back!
Sakura now felt truly sorry for the boy.
Sakura: Oh Naruto...*thinking* I never realized how hard it must have been for you... Growing up completely alone...
With her new respect for Naruto, Sakura wanted to end this battle.
Sakura: *thinking* But if I do that, Sasuke will regret his decision to bring me. I'll just have to endure it.
Sasuke had listened to Naruto, but it hadn't changed his mind.
Sasuke: You're still going to die!
Naruto:*thinking* Die?
Then they both charged, while Sakura stood silently in the forest. After hearing Naruto, she found it harder to watch. She flinched the slightest bit when ever they hit each other hard. Sometimes she gasped if it took too long for one of the boys to stand back up after a hit. Now, they were at a stand off, both of them almost exhausted. The curse mark that had almost completely covered Sasuke's body began covering the last few spots of his skin.
Sakura: *thinking* This must be the 'second stage' Sakon was talking about...
Now it was Naruto's turn to watch a transformation, confused.
Naruto: What the hell?!
Sasuke's hair was getting longer and turning gray, while his skin had turned a dark brownish-gray and a black cross had appeared on the bridge of his nose. On top of that, the whites of his eyes had turned black as well.
Naruto: I don't know what's happened to you, but I still won't let you get away!
Sasuke seemed slightly distracted, so Naruto took this opportunity to strike. He delivered a punch that sent Sasuke flying backwards and he smashed into the feet of one of the statues. When the dust had cleared, Naruto could see Sasuke. He internally gasped. He had blocked his punched with what looked like a strange wing that had come out of his back. Sasuke chuckled to himself.
Sasuke: Heh... You might be special Naruto, but I'm special as well.
He could feel the power from the curse mark flowing through him. There was a slight pain in his back as the other 'wing' extended, but it quickly went away.
Sasuke: *thinking* If this is how much power I have now, I wonder how much stronger I can become...
Sakur now stood completely frozen in the trees. There was an ominous killing intent coming from Naruto and a feeling of pure evil coming from Sasuke. The combination of the two scared her the most and she gulped. Lightning began forming around Sasuke's hand.
Sasuke: Chidori!
Using the nine-tails cloak, Naruto was able to create a one handed Rasengan.
Naruto: Rasengan!
Sakura watched as they flew at each other with arms outstretched, before turning and cowering behind a tree.
Sakura: *thinking* I can't watch!
End of this chapter! I'm tired, so I'm gonna go to bed. Til next time
