I don't think Itachi is stupid. I think it is more like him to try an indirect method of bringing Madara down. By forcing sasuke to become stronger so maybe eventually, he could kill madara for him. he doesn't seem the type of person to go head long into a battle he knows he can't win.

300 killed people is far greater loss than 50 fighters.

And Itachi is not stupid indeed but killing his clansmen was not going to help. Which means that Madara is lying or that Itachi was idiot. I think i ll choose the first one.

but i disagree because they were the strongest in konoha without MS they would still cause damage and what itachi didnt want to happen was that uchiha attaked the village because this would only led to one thing and thats the village disapearing because uchiha were the strongest of konoha if they attaked it the village would lose a great mass of man power and perhaps there hokage plus most of there strogest clan's and then other village's would use the opportunatie to attack and this would mean the end of konoha.

2-they were given the position of police because then they would be controled by the hokage himself.And such a position would make uchiha forget about leadership.

Exactly my point. If they really wanted to cause a mess and come out victorious they would have aquired Mangekuy. But they didnt. Not only that but Itachi decided to kill the wrong duded instead of Madara and Sasuke.
